A MUST in Bled!

I can't recommend this cooking class enough - Petra gave essentially a full on "Food Network"-style cooking class of her delicious Potica in two styles. Not only was it educational, but her and her husband Niko are hilarious and make it so much fun.

Such a unique and authentic Slovenian experience - do yourself a favor and book this class!

Must-Do in Bled!!

If you're in Bled for 1 day or 1 month, Bled Cooking Class with Petra & Niko is absolutely a must do activity.
Totally immersive, informative and delicious.

Best cooking class I've ever done, can't wait to get home and make these beautiful dishes for the family!

Bled cooking class was an absolutely amazing experience and I can’t recommend it enough to anyone visiting Bled! It was so nice to learn about delish Slovenian food, which I can’t wait to make now that I’m home. My family and I felt incredibly welcome at Nico and Petra’s home. A true display of Slovenian hospitality. SUCH GREAT FOOD!

Utterly mouthwatering, very educational, and above all loads of fun!

If I could give Petra's class a 10-star rating, I'd give it an 11. We were greeted with the warmest of welcomes and immediately felt at home. The whole class is based on a very personal approach, everything was explained in detail, it was easy to follow, and we learned so much about traditional Slovenian cooking. Each of us left with a booklet of the recipes we were making, and they came out just as good every time we recreated them! The best part of course was eating all the delicious food, talking, and sharing our experience with one another. I would recommend this class for literally anyone - if you have no idea what you're doing or if you're a seasoned foodie. I have never had so much fun learning something new! Thank you!

Once in a lifetime expwrience

Cooking class was great overall. Niko and his wife Petra are very accommodating and provide an environment that is very fun and entertaining. They greeted us with a large plate of starters and wine before we even started cooking to ensure that we were comfortable and would not be hungry during the class. All the dishes were delicious and very easy to make. Petra does a great job of braking the steps down so that any person can understand. Lastly they even surprised us with live entertainment and kept us for 2 hours past the class with more wine.

This is a must do while in Bled and look forward to doing it again in the fiture

Highlight of our Trip

After spending 2 days with Niko hiking and adventure touring, it was a real treat to sign up for a cooking class with his wife, Petra. They were both incredibly kind and made us feel most welcome. We were greeted with a glass of schnapps and homemade bread with the most delicious charcuterie board, filled with local cheese, salami, and homemade pumpkin spread. My husband and I, and our three daughters, loved learning how to cook barley soup, buckwheat dumplings, and especially the most delicious struklji with cottage cheese, we will definitely attempt to make it when we return home to the US! It was one of the highlights of our trip and brought back many wonderful memories of our grandmother’s cooking!

Amazing, need to go if you're visiting Bled!

Petras cooking class was simply amazing. It was a lot of fun to learn how to prepare delicious traditional Slovenian food.
Petra really knows her stuff and she is extremely friendly and nice, she is such a lovely lady. The whole presentation,cooking tools and the vibe was so cozy and friendly and the food that we cooked and ate was so delicious.

I highly recommend this cooking class, if you want to learn how to cook traditional Slovenian food, try some delicious local foods and have a glass of wine with the most friendly locals. Me and my friends had a great time :)

Such a special family activity!

This was one of the best cooking classes I ever took. The vibe and ambience of Petra and Niko's home was so warm and inviting. The appetizers were so delicious and amazing and it was such a fun special family activity. I highly recommend to anyone in the Lake Bled area!

A Real Treat!

We stayed in the area for almost a week, and Bled Cooking Class with Petra and Niko was definitely a highlight. They were so kind and hospitable. Niko shared the history of the area and the dishes we prepared. Petra's cooking instructions were easy to follow and the food was delicious! I can't wait to make these dishes at home. I highly recommend the class.

Most unique and fun activity in Bled!

Amazing experience and perfectly planned! I try to find a cooking class when traveling around the world, and can tell you my experience with Niko and Petra was one of my very favorite!

We were welcomed with a liquor and a story, then wine and appetizers. I was enjoying getting to know our hosts and almost forgot we were there to cook. Once we put on the aprons, it was go time. Petra led the class while Niko inserted stories and fun…..they are the perfect team!

The food was phenomenal, specifically the strukli…similar process to strudel and as versatile in variations as pasta.
We had such a fun night, we returned a couple days later with more of our family to make the famous Bled cream cake.

My sincere thanks to Petra and Niko for the unique memories made in Bled!! I cant wait to return, and in the meantime, i will send you pictures of my attempts to recreate the wonderful food you taught us!
