Cold clear waters that lend themselves to watersports set in an Alpine scene. There is so much to do in, on and around the lake from sailing, kayaking, paddleboarding, rafting, running, cycling or even a chilly swim. Not for the feint hearted but very refreshing once you take the plunge. So picturesque it is somewhere not to be missed.

Trully one of the few remarkable gems of Slovenia alp region. Zhe prices are still moderate. Take your time and enjoy the beauty. If you want to bath then come july/august whenthe lake reaches max. 20 celsius.

The color of the serene and undisturbed water is only one part of this "package." There is much more: rustic outdoor places to eat, a small lodge of sorts, a very memorable medieval church of St. John the Baptist (with very strange artwork), the foothills of the Triglav National Park and monument to mountain men, eye-popping scenery, shallow creeks sparkling... We did a day trip from Bled to Lake Bohinj. The lake is so picturesque with the church and bridge, but also it is set against the mountains. The water was crystal clear the fish swim near your feet and there was plenty of places to paddle or swim. It is better than Bled in terms of it is less... More

We have stayed at Lake Bled, only visited Lake Bohinj, but it was really worth it as it is even prettier. We hired a rowing boat (quite cheap) and had great fun. There are several hiking routes from here, you can also visit a spectacular waterfall Savica.

Lovely and charming place; it has an incredible atmosphere, clean water, perfect spot for water activities and great nature. Don't miss the waterfall that is few kilometers from there.

Wonderful lake, awesome water color! Located just a half an hour drive from Bled lake and is very picturesque also. There are possibilities to camp here, a lot of ice places. At the same time there are restaurants located directly on the shore and you could enjoy the fod and rinks with perfect views to the lake and mountains around.... More

The world is beginning to know more and more about Slovenia, particularly Lake Bled and other famous attractions. However, Lake Bohinj is both more stunning and natural than that of Lake Bled. If you can manage a visit and a spare couple of hours to walk around this pristine wilderness, do so as you will not regret it.

The lake's environment is much more primitive than Bled, but it natural surroundings are beautiful. Certainly worth a visit. Perhaps not a place to stay (although there are some hotels), but great for day visits. I would recommend staying in Bled and visiting the lake during the day. There are also nice paths to walk around the lake. And the... More
