Loved it!

More natural lake then Bled (which is also awesome). There is no castle or buildings but it feels natural. Walk around the north side of the lake rather than the road side.

We were there with 2 children age 6 and 9. We walked the north path with them (no cars on that side of the lake). The walk was beautiful but a bit too long for the kids. We found a nice small beach were we had picnic. The water is fresh but on a warm summer day it feels nice!... More

Very beautiful lake. You can do kayak & canoe, rafting paragliding etc. You have to pay for parking 1.5 euro/hour and the parking meter DOESN'T give change.

Located in the Triglav National Park is almost free of modern development. Building on the lake side is prohibited by law. It is set in a beautiful Alpine landscape of pine woods and beautiful snow capped mountains.

We stayed in ribcev laz for three nights after our Walking tour finished. We had come through lake bled, and then onto lake bohinj. Personally I love bohinj, as it is just more untouched by man, and has a real outdoor feel to it. Everywhere you look you see people in outdoor gear, enjoying walking, running, cycling, canoeing, rowing, boating,... More

During a road trip through Central Europe I decided to spend a few days in the North West corner of Slovenia, near the border with Austria, where lake Bled and lake Bojini lie. Decided to set my base in Jeraka a small village about 10-15 minute drive from lake Bojini and 30 minute drive from lake Bled. Only spend 3... More

Bohinj is a municipality in Slovenia. The town is small and quiet. The lake is wonderful. I recommend trips with family, friends and couples. In the time of year I went it was still possible to climb the mountain by VOGEL, a cable car that climbs the mountain. At the time I was still enough snow. Still in the city... More

We visited this lake, having booked up the standard ticket for several attractions at the Tourist Information Office nearby. (26.50 Euros for the boat trip, trip on the Gondola, a bowl of stew at the cafe at the top of the gondola, and entry to the church on the edge of the lake). We paid 10.50 Euros for 5 hours... More

Way less crowded than Bled and in our opinion more beautiful. In the surroundings you can do many beautiful hiking trips to the waterfall Savica, etc. We went there for one day with our 1 year daughter rented a kayak and looked for a beach just for ourselves, enjoyed the views, nature and clean and refreshing water. For sure we... More
