Peaceful and calm

Beautiful area, less crowded than lake Bled. Great for swimming with many activities around and Savica waterfall. We really enjoyed a day spent in this area.

Must see in this region - natural lake with crystal clear water and attractive hiking options. Swimming in lake is possible for free 😊 Tip: for transfer to soca valley use car train from bohinjska bistrica to podbrto. Enjoy it.

An amazing spot to enjoy the Slovenian nature ! We did a canyoning tour in the lake and the river, it was guided by really really nice monitors. They taught us how to use it and be good at it. Such a great adventure in an outstanding country. Plus people are so openminded and a family allowed us to sleep... More

Me and my family visited Lake Bohinj. The lake is a peaceful place, quiet, not crowded like lake Bled. It is possible to swim inside the lake, walk beside it, travel by boat or rent a bike. You can find other attractions in the area like Vogel mountain and Slap Savica. Suitable for children

More natural lake then Bled (which is also awesome). There is no castle or buildings but it feels natural. Walk around the north side of the lake rather than the road side.

We were there with 2 children age 6 and 9. We walked the north path with them (no cars on that side of the lake). The walk was beautiful but a bit too long for the kids. We found a nice small beach were we had picnic. The water is fresh but on a warm summer day it feels nice!... More

Very beautiful lake. You can do kayak & canoe, rafting paragliding etc. You have to pay for parking 1.5 euro/hour and the parking meter DOESN'T give change.

Located in the Triglav National Park is almost free of modern development. Building on the lake side is prohibited by law. It is set in a beautiful Alpine landscape of pine woods and beautiful snow capped mountains.

We stayed in ribcev laz for three nights after our Walking tour finished. We had come through lake bled, and then onto lake bohinj. Personally I love bohinj, as it is just more untouched by man, and has a real outdoor feel to it. Everywhere you look you see people in outdoor gear, enjoying walking, running, cycling, canoeing, rowing, boating,... More
