There are currently three main areas: Polish inventions, development of IT and transport in Poland. There are many interesting items, but not all of them are well described. English descriptions are available, but not in the interactive screens. Staff in general does not know much about the exhibitions. Therefore for now I would recommend it to enthusiasts of history of technology.

Within the Palace of Culture & Science.is the Museum of Technology which is easily recognisable as there are random vintage cars and motorbikes in the entrance. The museum is huge and spread over various floors and there seems to be absolutely no order to the place at all, it is all quite random and with hardly any other signage other than in Polish. Having said that it is quite a fun place and worth spending time wandering around blindly until stumbling upon something really interesting.

Located in downstairs of Palace of Culture and is spread over three floors. From the ticket desk to the cloakroom you wonder what it will be like. Then you enter and see an immaculate Model T Ford, then into another room where there are some well restored vehicles and very interesting. The other downstairs room is devoted to motorcycles all in superb condition. Upstairs you start off in Transport which covers all aspects. What is good here is that items are cut in half to show how they work which includes a car and a rear diff. which is a common how does that work then? Computers were interesting to with a donated Cray 3 and many from our youth such as Sinclairs, Commodores and Ataris Space travel is covered as well, yes a lot is in Polish but you don't really need words to explain things or coal mining or steel marking.
Bonus: you also get to see the inside of the building in all its intended opulence which was interesting in its own right.

Rude staff member on reception. My autistic daughter feels anxious a lot and the receptionist would not allow entry unless we left our bags in a locker, despite letting the people in front of us enter the museum with their bags. I explained her autism means my daughter gets anxious if her things are not with her but the woman just shrugged and still wouldn’t allow us in. I tried to salvage the situation by waiting with my daughter and the bags but she wouldn’t allow my 14 year old son to go into the museum on his own. I tried to explain we had travelled especially to go the museum but she literally ignored us so both kids left upset and disappointed. She was so rude it really put a downer on our day. No understanding or empathy for an autistic disabled visitor at all and left me with two upset kids to deal with and a wasted trip. Awful.

I remeber this museum from the early eighties, when we visited it on a school trip. And now, thirty years on, it all lookes exactly the same! Even the man serving the cloakroom lookes the same... On the good side: huge numbers of exhibits, many of them of massive importance to polish motor industry history. On rather worse side: because this exhibition was not renewed for so many years many descriptions at exhibits are out of date... And by the way - all tablets with information are in Polish only. The museum is located in one of annexes of one of the biggest buildings in Poland - Pałac Kultury i Nauki, built just after the WWII, and that determinates some restrictions with availability of the museum, such as no access for disabled, and quite stairs inside.

For us it was very entertaining, we spent there almost 2 hours. There are a lot of old polish cars and motorbikes, but we also saw old computers and game consoles (we could also play with some of them). Besides, other types of objects also exhibited (mining tools, train models, phones, cameras)
Unfortunately all the information on the boards were only in Polish.

I see somebody has mixed this with the Railway museum which is at a diffrent location.
We found it quite interesting to walk through the various exhibitions on several floors.
Depending on interest one can spend hours or less than 1 hour here.
Several schoolclasses were visiting this day,- they were very interested in the Police exhibition and got information from some policeofficers.
There was several different exhibitons, like Transportation, Metallurgy, Coal Mining, Motorbikes, Maritime, engines, planes & old cars + old radios & old tlephones, etc.
Some information was given in english although most was in polish.
It seems like they are changing exhibitons now and then. A cyber ex. was coming soon.
All in all an interesting place to visit,- specially on a cold day. We paid a few Zlotys to get in.

The museum is CLOSED for renovation, but there is no information about this anywhere. Nothing on the website, and at the museum there is only a "CLOSED" sign, no information about renovation.

We did not visit the museum on this trip but will definitely be back in Warsaw to do that. Overall impression of communist era and architecture - amazingly well built! Although I think many of the locals would like it to come down it was fun to ride to the top of the tower and see the city at night.
