Overview
More
We are glad to invite you to our private communist museum. This is the first idea in Warsaw to show how people used to live during communist times. You can see typical furniture, everyday use things as famous washing mashine "Frania", tv-set "Rubin" or unique "Saturator". There are few different sections, where you can experience propaganda, lifestyle, politics or ordinary day from the times. The exposition is a perfect background to the history of Communism in Poland. The main idea is to experience the times and find out the absurds of everyday life.

Interesting (but small) artefacts from the Cold War era. Interesting to see that our life in 70s Britain had the same belongings as 70s Polska

This museum is really special. It is very small as mentioned in previous reviews, however I think its size represents well living under communism - afterall, those apartments weren't big! The different things on show were reminiscent even to me, with my parents still having...More

Had a great visit to this place. Although it may be small it is compact and full of many interesting items that represented Polish lifestyle under communism. I first visited Poland nearly 30 years ago so could relate to certain things. Definately worth a visit...More

So glad we found it. And it really took some doing. It’s tucked away at the end of an alley with very sparse signage. Seeing all of this really makes one appreciate capitalism. As we prowl around Eastern Europe and admire how capitalism has rooted...More

Of particular interest for those who lived through these difficult, nasty and unpleasant years. I think that for a person unfamiliar with the political climate of communism in Poland the museum would be difficult to understand, unless you have a local guide. The collection is...More

This is an interesting collection of communist stuff displayed in groups of different themes, e.g. policing, politics, sport, culture. It is in a bit of a grotty neighbourhood though, so would recommend taking a taxi (Mytaxi app is fab!) rather than walking. Not the best...More

This 'Museum' is just a small office space dedicated to old furniture, it is in the rougher part of town and really not worth the tram ride to get thereMore

The museum itself is not large, but it is able to pack quite a bit into a small space. Quite hard to find, but there were signs if you looked for them. Worth a visit.
