Discover Warsaw Ghetto Remains & History Walking Tour

The Warsaw Ghetto was the largest Jewish ghetto created by the Nazis during the Second World War in Europe. Approximately 460 000 Jews were separated from the rest of the city. Around 100,000 people died from hunger. Approximately 300 000 ghetto residents were killed in gas chambers in Treblinka in the summer of 1942. On the 19th of April 1943, Jewish Combat Organizations started an uprising known as Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.
During that tour you will see the ghetto remains and monuments and also historical buidlings related to the Jewish history and culture before the war. Because this area is very big, we use Veturilo city bikes. This way we are able to cover much more.

Local Warsaw - Unique Praga District

Praga - just across the Vistula River from Warsaw’s Old Town, has a centuries old history and escaped major devastation during World War II. Originally founded as an independent town, Praga traditionally served as the multicultural home for Catholics, Jews, and Orthodox Christians. Today the district is experiencing its renaissance and is well regarded for its artists and craftsmen, alternative culture, and interesting real estate projects. Praga is often overlooked by foreign visitors, and locals, but it offers a special vibe and charm while walking its streets among locals who have been living here for many generations.

We really enjoyed the Warsaw Ghetto tour with Lukasz. He showed us all the remaining sites and current memorials, which btw. we would have never found without him and gave us detailled information about what happened there. It is really interesting He also took the time to answer all our questions. Furthermore, he also gave us some really interesting insights on Polish society nowadays. We really recommend doing the tour with Lukasz, it is really worth the money. Also exploring the city by bike is a different experience than just walking or subway.

Our tour guide Lukasz has profounded informations about jewish living in Warsaw. Although you can find only a few relicts of an disappeared culture, Lukasz is able to bring history back to life by telling stories or explaining the meaning of details. His English is excellent. - We've had a wonderful tour. Probably the best guide in town. Thanks!

Nice tour that brings you to places that you would not find yourself. Lukasz knows a lot about the city and history and he also is very interested in his guests, eg where they are from etc. I would definitely recommend a tour with him. Next time I want to do the Jewish tour.
