The Vistula is also a symbol of Poland. As one of the three most important rivers before the Odra and Warta rivers, it is considered the "backbone" of our country. It even flows through the so-called Poland Proper. The most indigenous lands of Poland and Poles. There are songs, poems and other works about her. At the height of Warsaw, it is quite extensive, but not as much as, for example, in Płock. Above it in Warsaw, many people rest on beaches or boulevards, as well as sailing in boats.

We visited because it is there! However, in December, there is precious little to see and nothing to do. In spring until autumn sure it will be OK and worth visiting.

Vistula River is very long as goes through Krakow and Warsaw as well. Most beautiful is at Krakow, with the views of Wawel Hill, where is th Cathedral and Castle with the red colour, especially at nights with lights on it. People can walk along the river, as we did and was a very nice experience.

The Visula River, I believe the longest river in Poland, in and around the city of Kracow,
is a disaster. Accumulated plastic bottles, Styrofoam, remains of unlucky swans float every where. Near the docked boat called, the Sao, what seems to be a floating public swimming pool, is the collection area for much of the junk....A total eyesore and the lazy public officials are responsible!

Lots of nice walkways along the river front and views out over the river that cuts through the center of Warsaw.

Having visited Warsaw for the first time, we were very surprised by how huge this river was. There is also a small beach & bar on the zoo side. Some nice walks along both the river and some of the bridges.

The Wisla river (Vistula in Latin) runs through Warsaw. It is a very beautiful place to walk. There are beaches, although I was there alone on a misty morning in winter. Really marvelous.

Warsaw waterfront is developing all the time, new boulevards being added, waterside pubs being opened. Merry and laid back atmosphere. Great boat rides to be had for decent prices. Bouncing clubs on both sides of the river. Super pastimes galore for the whole family.

We took this short cruise, about 1.5 hours, in Warsaw. The views were satisfactory at times. The boat was good, selling non-alcoholic drinks and basic grilled food, timely organised.

However there is nothing special about the area and tours. It was very difficult to hear what the guide was saying. It is ok to go if nothing else to do.

The River Vistula is Polands longest river and on any holiday to Krakow it is so nice to just jump on to one of the inexpensive river cruise boats that show the beautiful city of Krakow from a different perspective.
Wawel Cathedral and Castle look awesome and the views from Wawel Cathedral and Castle of the river are also cool.
Along the River Vistula there are numerous boat restaurants that are also well worth checking out,a particular favourite of mine is Barka down by Lovers bridge ( Little Father Bernard's Footbridge. )
A majestic river and well worth an hour of cruising to see the sites.
