- Almeria2000Almeria, Spain511 contributionsA striking monument amidst beautiful gardens. You can pass by this monument, as part of a beautiful walk through the gardens. There is a claim that this monument is the best-known Polish sculpture in the world. The bronze monument depicts the composer sitting under a weeping willow. Above Chopin’s head they take the form of a hand palm. The whole composition reminds of a monumental harp. In 1940, the monument was destroyed by the Nazis. It was broken into pieces and sent to foundries to be melted down. The reconstructed monument was unveiled in 1958.Visited March 2024Traveled with familyWritten April 1, 2024

The huge, encompassing statue of the Polish composer is at Warsaw's largest park. Summer concerts also take place around the monument.Visited August 2024Traveled with familyWritten August 18, 2024

It depicts the composer under a Masovian pasture bent by the wind. It is one of the landmarks of the capital. The monument was created by Wacław Szymanowski. It was released in 2. World War (1940) destroyed and later reconstructed and unveiled in 1958. The inscription on the base of the monument reads: ‘The statue of Fryderyk Chopin – destroyed and robbed by the Germans on May 31, 1940 – is being rebuilt by the people. October 17, 1946’. A very nice photo motif with lots of seating. Be sure to look at it.Visited October 2024Traveled with familyWritten October 20, 2024

This beautiful monument dedicated to the great composer is quite impressive, indeed! When the weather is warm, there are chairs that you can sit and relax right next to the garden and the pool in front of the monument. Don't forget to listen to music from the Chopin bench! Be aware that the whole park is massive and it requires a lot of walking. If you are cycling to the park (which, in my opinion, is the best way to visit the park and the monument from Old Town, without wasting a lot of time), the easiest way to find the monument is from the entrance in Ujazdówskie Avenue. Since you are in Chopin's city, it is worth a visit!

Chopin is a true Polish hero (even though he spent most of his life in France). Chopin still wished that his heart be buried in his homeland at the end of his life (and it is).
If you go to this monument in the park on a Sunday, you may be able to hear a free Chopin concert at noon (weather permitting). Accomplished pianists present a wonderful program there.

Beautiful large statue of Chopin in Warsaw.
The Frederic Chopin Monument in Warsaw is a large bronze statue of Frédéric Chopin (1810–1849) that now stands in the upper part of Warsaw's Royal Baths Park also known as Łazienki Park.
The park is impressive and a quiet green space in Warsaw. This tribute to Chopin is beautiful.

What a lovely attraction right the park entrance!! Chopin Monument in Łazienki Park is a prominent structure that you can notice immediately after getting inside the park. There are live musical performances organised here on weekends. Summer evenings here are such a treat for every passer-by. There are musical benches playing Chopin's lovely work! The park is a tremendous beauty and totally worth a lazy stroll alone or with friends. A top attraction in Warsaw that I'd recommend to everyone. Go for it guys 😎

Our guide took us to the park to see the Chopin Monument. It was a beautiful monument and very unique. They were having a concert at the park that day but unfortunately other plans intervened and we were unable to attend the concert. The roses and other flowers were in full bloom and it was a spectacular sight.

The one dedicated to the famous Polish composer is a monument of considerable size, located inside the Lazienki park, near one of the entrances and next to a small pond. The bronze work depicts Chopin serenely seated, under a willow tree. Destroyed during the war, the monument was rebuilt exactly as it was, using the original mold. In front of the pond, some musical benches have been placed that, simply by pressing a button, reproduce some of his most famous works. Pleasant opera and context.

The Chopin Monument is located at one of the entrances to Lazienki Park. It is a monument dedicated to the Polish artist. You use the specially designed space for events. However, it is a beautiful place to relax just like the rest of the park.

My wife and I stopped by here as part of a tour group. We benefitted by having an English-speaking guide. The monument / park, is a relaxing attractive tribute to Chopin. One can spend 30 minutes her, or bring a thermos / snack / book, and hang out a few hours. The "musical benches" are a welcomed feature.
