I am one of many students who were lucky enough to call Warsaw home and to graduate from Warsaw Institute Of Technology. I have been in this wonderful space almost daily and it was always a delight to pass through the main door and few steps later pass through the marvelous, symmetric polygonal, light filled space embraced by a palatial staircase and series of galleries around it, crowned with the stained glass ceiling capping it all from above. I highly recommend to visit this off the beaten path sample of Warsaw's architecture. Bring wide angle camera and a telephoto too to zoom into fragments you like.

The most beautiful university building I have seen - the students here are extremely lucky to be able to study here. Would definitely recommend popping in if you are near

Beautiful and quiet. Others were taking photos and being loud but when I was taking them I was the one spoken to and I didn’t start yet just setting up and was quiet. Sad because it is stunning. Also went on off hours at 1800 .

As both my parents dtudied and graduated here in 1933 as chemical and water engineers, i was very cutious.the building was constracted in 1901. Among his students was the famous madame Curie. The whole building was reconstructed and rebuilt after WW2.its architecture is so great that i was speachless for several minutes. A must go place.

I'm really surprised why there are no tourists visiting the main hall of Warsaw University of Technology. It's really pretty (at the first sight, gets boring if you are a student) and often serves as event site for various companies. It's just one underground stop from centrum station so why not giving it a go? Get on 3rd floor and take some pictures from above.
If you decide to visit and like the main hall you should visit department of physics building as well. It's similar in style, smaller but with better proportions
