Glory to Polish heroes
Nov 2021 • Couples
Nearly 85% of the Polish capital was destroyed, and thousands of people died during uprising. There were also a lot of children who fighted for freedom and died. This monument reminds us about this fact.

Unexpected sculpture
Jun 2020
A touching memorial to the children who not only were affected by the German occupation of Warsaw but also for those who fought along side the adult insurgence. Such must have been their belief of independence from oppression.

Beautiful

Such a beautiful and sad little statue.

It is a little out of the way, but I am glad I went there. I feel it is an important reminder of all the loss that war can bring.

We visited this monument on the Free Orange tour (just paid what we felt right at the end) but he described the story and what this little statue really meant. Worth seeing alongside a tour that explains what the people went through in WW2.

Polish Hero

This statue is on the edge of the old town and pays tribute to those who died in the Warsaw Uprising. It's often swathed in a polish flag and has great meaning for Warsaw citizens. The Museum of the Warsaw Uprising has an area called the 'Little Insurgent' where you can park kids while visiting the exhibitions!

Important monument
Jan 2020
This is a monument to a child soldier, fighting in the 1944 Warsaw uprising. The monument is just s stone throw from the square, alongside the outer wall. Worth a visit as many children perished in the fighting

A truly inspirational monument to the children that got caught up in the WW2. It may be small but it was amazing the amount of people looking at it.

Cute little chap
Dec 2019
I an oversize military helmet, this little chap epitomises the children of the ghettos who fought against the German aggressors. Lots of guts!
