My parents, husband, and I took the class in May and had a fantastic evening! The class started at 5:30 PM with four other people, and Michal welcomed us with a yummy spread of Polish meats, cheeses, and bread for appetizers. There was also a table with an assortment of juices and water. We talked around the table for about 45 minutes, and Michal taught us about the history of Polish cuisine, the influences from the neighboring countries, and the differences between the appetizer meats. It was a great start to the class!

Next, we moved to the cooking stations and started preparing our pierogi. Michal taught us step by step from the individual, pre-measured ingredients. I can't rave enough about Michal -- he's a great teacher!! We made about 30 pierogi, half ruskie (potato and cottage cheese) and half meat, which was way more than I could eat! We cooked all of the pierogi, then sat down and ate. For the pierogi we couldn't eat, Michal vacuum packed for us to take home. Michal brought out the 'fixings' for the pierogi -- sour cream and bacon YUM! While we were eating, Michal served us different vodkas for tasting, one of which was homemade, and explained the differences. After we finished the vodka tasting and pierogi, Michal brought out Polish donuts (I forgot what they were called) for dessert, and they were THE best donuts I've had in Poland.

All in all, I HIGHLY recommend booking this cooking class during your stay in Poland. My parents, husband, and I had a fantastic experience, and Michal was a great host and teacher. I can't wait to take the class again when my husband's family comes into town! Thanks Michal!!!

Note: The restaurant, Charlie Food and Friends, where the class is held is in the bottom floor of a large office building. There is no sign outside the building for Charlie Food and Friends, so just know that you enter the big office building on the southeast corner of Swietokrzyska and Aleja Jana Pawla II.

My fiancé and I booked this class as a last minute activity for our trip and we are so grateful we did! The value you get for this class is insane. You will need to make sure you come hungry because you’re guaranteed to leave with leftovers and feast while you’re there.

We had Magda as our instructor and she was amazing! Had a bunch of good stories, is an excellent pierogi chef, and really makes the experience memorable. We can’t recommend this highly enough, if you are in Warsaw it is a must do!

Booked a polish cooking class with Magda for a few family members visiting us from South Africa. Magda was a great host and made everyone feel comfortable and welcome. Great food and Magda also told wonderful stories about Poland. Highly recommended

The cooking workshop was nice and instructions were given about expectations, history of the course etc. It's nice to cook the same recipe, every group a different stuffing. It was clear from the beginning though that if you don't drink Vodka (50% of the group didn't), other drinks wouldn't be served too much during the evening. Staff was keen on finishing quickly after the main course, would be better to skip the dessert at all. Nice concept, average execution.

Hello Erik, it is our top priority to treat every client exceptionally and with highest standards. If you got an impression that soft-drinks would not be served, we are deeply sorry for this confusion. I did make a joke at the beginning, that in Poland, if you don't drink vodka, you're not allowed to drink soft drinks :). However I followed up, that you are welcome to help yourselves with the drink bar, consisting of both soft drinks and liquors. As for the time frame - you took part in a custom-made team-building event. Ending at 10 PM was agreed prior to the class with your supervisor, because the building was closing early that day. The time-limit was exceeded, so being rushed ourselves, making this as delicate as possible, we were forced to offer you the last round of shots (we hate it when the party ends, too). We hope that this slight misunderstanding will not stop you for pursuing local culinary experiences, such as ours. Also we encourage you to come back for our regular Polish cuisine cooking classes (it's cameral, relaxed and family atmosphere cooking, not as competitive and energetic as corporate events :). Take care and keep cooking! Michal Piosik Chef - Polish Your Cooking

You'd be a fool to pass this event up to learn the secrets off Polish cooking.
Don't be afraid to indulge in the option of vodka tasting, I'm sure that's truly part of the recipe.
Hostess was delightful and fun. Small group made it e notable as well.

I booked the class as a surprise gift to my boyfriend for his birthday. As a cook himself, he loved it. And I am the lucky one who will soon be trying his recently acquired skills as the newest talented polish pierogi cook!
Our teacher Magda was lovely. She knew we had a flight and would unfortunately have to miss the last hour of the class. She ensured that we enjoyed the most and even surprised us with a birthday cake!
I would like to thank all the team at Polish Your Cooking for accommodating our needs and for contributing to our unforgettable experience in Warsaw. 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

I participated in the Polish Cooking Class in Warsaw in September. There were only 6 people that showed up. It was supposed to be 8. We waited a little while for the late couple that showed and a bit longer for the people who didn't. But, it was a great class. We made apple pancakes and had them with different toppings. It was very very good. We made dumplings with cheese and potato and with meat fillings. They were interesting to make and we sampled our cooking with various toppings and there were many other tasty things to eat as well. We did the vodka tasting and it was very good, we also had beer. If you don't drink, you get water and apple juice. We had alot of laughs and Magda our chef was amazing. She was entertaining and fun and interested in where we were from. She was great!!!!! We ended with desert and got our certificates for graduating the cooking course. We took pictures of everyone receiving their diploma. It was a fun night and we ate great. Well, worth the price. I highly recommend it.

Let me say that I lived in PL for five years and I write a Polish food blog. Even if you are experienced in cooking Polish food, this class is worth your time. I picked up pointers and tips to make my dishes better, after all, I’m learning from a culinary professional who grew up on this food.

Chef Magda was our excellent host and instructor. She is charming and knowledagble. If I lived in Warsaw, I’d want to hang out with her. She really made the experience fun for all of us.

We made apple pancakes and two kinds of pierogi (just so you know, pierogi is plural). We sampled flavored vodkas, cider, and beer and enjoyed many yummy foods that we did not prepare such as smalec, a charcuterie platter, pate, and poppy seed roll.

So so not eat before the class, and you will leave with the leftovers, so if you have a fridge where you’re staying, you’re set for the next 24 hours.

It was four hours, but if you like food it’s the best fun!

I had a free morning before catching my train to Krakow. This experience fit into my schedule nicely and was SO MUCH FUN. I just enjoyed it all and I am not particularly a person who actually cooks a lot. But it was so much more than just cooking. It was a history lesson. It was an opportunity to meet others from around the world. It was a chance to eat some good food. And it was a chance to learn about Polish vodka and best of all - to drink several shots of Polish vodka!

My husband and I don't normally do tours or classes when we travel, but I had seen this online and it looked like so much fun. We LOVED it! There was so much food, definitely do not eat before going. Michal was great and we actually did the cooking ourselves so we feel confident to try and make pierogies at home on our own. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Poland for sure. I would recommend this to anybody!
