In an article read before my visit to Warsaw, Monika's guided tours were mentioned and recommended. So I was already curious and when people from the B&B where I stayed also advised to contact her, I gave it try and was very happy that it worked out at a time which was most convenient for me. When we met, I had already seen a bit of the town on my own and was very curious to see, learn and experience more with a local.
Monika's idea to go by bike was great - an excellent way to move around and see very different parts of the town. Monika knows a lot and is an excellent guide and very pleasant personily, knows where to stop, to engage and tell a story. Places and buildings that I had seen before, - but actually just walked by - came to life and it was fascinating and intriguing to follow the city's historz abd development based on historical facts and/or episodes of the more recent past. I also enjoyed the 'coffee break' at a place I most likely would not have found myself and thanks to the native speaker's help could try food that I would not have chosen while being on my own.
Time was flying, and when it was time to say good bye, I noticed that there's still much more that I would like to see and know - so I've to go back! and get another guided tour with Monika!

Our B&B recommended Monika for a walking tour of Warsaw when we made our reservation. I contacted Monika and she promptly replied to arrange our tour and to ask about our preferences. We met with Monika the day after we arrived in Warsaw and she was absolutely delightful! She already knew what we were interested in but I told her I wanted her to show us what she loved about her city. She took us on a very informative and interesting tour and showed us places we would have never been able to find on our own or even know to look for. I loved her enthusiasm and her obvious pride in her city and its amazing, tumultuous history. We walked many fun miles together and she kept the conversation going - fun, friendly and so full of knowledge. We brought our adult daughter on this trip with us - she and Monika are about the same age - it was delightful to see them together, sharing experiences and she encouraged my daughter to explore the possibilities of international travel and education. We also had the had opportunity to see Monika several more times - sharing breakfast with her at the Boutique B&B ( a delightful place), and we got a chance to get to know this amazing young woman a little better. She is an amazing artist, so smart, warm and quick to smile and laugh. I so enjoyed getting to know Monika - she was an absoulte highlight of our trip to Warsaw!

If you are someone who is interested in history, art and culture and also likes to get to know about a country up close and personal and are curious and adventuresome this is a tour guide for you. Monika has deep and a personal knowledge about her native city of Warsaw and clearly enjoys sharing this on her tours. I have had two tours with her on my two visits to Warsaw. The first was a walking tour that went into the night and the other was a bike tour. I got to see and learn things I would never have done on my own. Both were highlights of my trip to this fascinating rapidly changing city with a significant recent and past history. Monkia is generous with her knowledge, charming, urbane and always a pleasure to be with. I will be back for another tour next year.

Monica led us on a wonderful tour of Warsaw, a city I had visited many years ago. We spent the day with her as she told us about the changes that have come to the city since the fall of the Iron Curtain. I had several specific places I wanted to visit again and she found each of them and told us of things in the neighborhoods I had not known before. We had many places to see and because of the distances, she suggested that we tour on bikes which worked out well.

i can't just resume the tour we did with Monika in just few lines, but i assure you if it's happen and you came to warsaw don't waste your time messing around, she is the perfect choice.
She is professional, attentive, kind, well educated, honest, frank ... i'm not complimenting her i just say the truth cause if she wasn't so good i wouldn't recommended her and waste my time writing this.
She will ask you about your interests and you wanna see so her program is flexible, she will adjust it depending on your needs without letting you miss the most valuable places that you have to see.
she gave us a lot of informations that i personally didn't know even when i consulted the internet before i came, that's what a private guide is the best choice in the first place.
she was always smiling and she asked us about our deadline time so she could make us benefit the maximum of our time and you will notice her walking speed, you won't lose any second uselessly :)
Monika .. Thank you very much and I'm glad that they recommended you, you are the best

My private walking tour around Central Warsaw was most pleasant. Monikia is quite knowledgeable as well as creative. She showed me the unusual and not-so-obvious sites near and leading to the Old Town (I didn't have the time to include the Old Town itself though her tour included the Old Town). We went to scenic, interesting and unusual spots so I was quite pleased with our afternoon.
Monika is very knowledgeable, creative and caring and I clearly was pleased with the time we spent. together.

Monika was interesting, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and creative in her tour of Warsaw. When we had to change certain plans she did not hesitate to think of an alternative. Friendly, open and a very enjoyable few hours.

Dear Guest,
thank you for reviewing me.
Since this tour I've started a cooperation with a company owning scooters. From now on it is another chance to experience the city from different perspective. They are not scooters for children only, they are rather proffesional scooters for the adults. It is very entertaining:)
Best,
Monika

Hello Monika! We are a family of three and plan on being in Warsaw the end of August/first of September 2016 and were wondering if you have any time available then. Old Town, Market Squate, Uprising Museum, Path of Rememberence just to give you an idea of what we would like to see. We are of Polish descent and would like to know a bit about our family's origin. Thank you. Pat Kulwicki/Colanese

Hello Monika,
My husband and I will be in Warsaw only from the afternoon of the 14th of May until the afternoon of the16th.
I wonder how much you would charge for a tour that afternoon and possibly recommend how to use our time in the city. We want to visit the Jewish sites, the Ghetto remains and such. I figure that we will do the museums on our own, but want to see as much as possible in the short time we have in the city.
What do you charge for an afternoon or day? Would you be able to pick us up at the airport (Chopin) that afternoon (the flight should arrive at 12:30) and go directly into touring?
I hope to hear from you soon.
Thank you,
Mishka Luft

Dear Mishka!
Thank you for the question.
First I would like to tell you that on the days you ask I have a free time, still.
I recommend to spend min. 3 hours. The cost of a 3 h tour is 180 PLN, the 4 h tour is 240 PLN and a 6 hours tour is 350 PLN - all the prices are for your group of two.
Directly conntected to the pricing is the mean of transport we use during the tour: to sightsee the ghetto reamins I recommend best to use the bikes. They give you a possibility to emmerse in the city and to move fast from place a to b (The Jewish sites in Warsaw are spread acorss the city).
Honestly, I am not a fan of a car tours but it depends on the situation and person and there is always this possibilty. If you decide to do a car tour I would personally pick you up from the airport.
If you decide to have a bike or a walking tour I can arrange a transport for you from the airport at a trusted company. The cost of a transfer is 80 PLN (you can also take a taxi, but prices of them differ widely and you have to be attentive when choosing it. I can advise on the company of taxi. The good price should be about 40-50 PLN).
A few words about me and my tours:
I am a graduate student of art and history of Warsaw is my big hobby. I show the city from the front and from the back door with some details that are harder to find in the printed guidebooks.
I adjust to interests of my guests and alter the tour whenever there is a need for it.
I hope I answered all your questions well.
Best regards,
Monika
