I believe you cannot go in on your own, but have to have a guide. I wasn't sure if l really wanted to go, and if l could cope with the emotional side of it. But l went, lm glad l did, and would urge anyone thinking about it, to take the opportunity and go. You make of it what you want to, it's a very personal thing. Just be prepared for it to be busy. On a practical note, there are a few points where you can buy a drink or snack before or after you enter, a small book shop and there are toilets which cost 2 zloty to use. A sad place.
