    Posh street
Nowy Swiat is considered to be the posh commercial road of Warsaw with lots of shops, connecting the old city with the new center area. Since there are plenty of shops here, you get to have lots of cafes and restaurants too. Several buildings with beautiful architecture can be seen on this street, with nice lighting during the night.

One of the main thoroughfares of Warsaw
Nowy Świat street is one of the main thoroughfares of Warsaw. It comprises part of the Royal Route that runs from Warsaw's Royal Castle and Old Town, south to King Jan III Sobieski 17th-century royal residence at Wilanow. It is one of most expensive streets in Poland with many shops and restaurants.

Lovely to walk down at Christmas!
We are a family of four and initially walked down this road one evening just because it was on our way back to our hotel but so glad we did. The whole area had an amazing, lively atmosphere and was decorated with what seemed like millions (billions?) of beautiful Christmas lights, as well as being full of interesting shops and restaurants. Definitely somewhere you shouldn't miss!

    Grand street
This was suppose to be the Main Street for shopping but I think there were to little shops for that. Magnificent street though especially with all the Christmas decoration and all the grand houses. A lot of restaurants and cafe, but they felt very touristic.

Nice street to stroll but that's about it
We went there during the day so I guess my review isn't objective, lots of stores, bars, restaurants but not so many cafes. For a capital city street I expected much more. It's free to walk the street so go for it, I'm sure though that if you have visited other European capitals you will not see the point.

Overall a nice place to chill with friends
There are lots of shops or places to spend some time at. You can go to Shisha bar or eat McDonald's or even go to the gym. It's close to the old town and to 'pawilony' which are basically bars with heavy alcohol.

Good shopping and local museums and attractions
Long central street running from the more modern parts of Warsaw through to Old Town. There are many bars and shops, plus great old churches and museums. The area is a must do for visitors to the city, for architecture and culture.

Don't come to Warsaw – you'll get hit by a car
I'm sure Warsaw has a lot to offer. Especially the Old Town part is a real eye candy; definitely a place you would like to walk around in and sightsee on foot. Trust me – you don't want to do this. If you ever attempt to cross the street, you will first have to stand on the curb for hours. No driver will care to stop or even slow down to let you go. If the crosswalk finally appears to be clear, look three times left and right, then run as fast as you can! If a car suddenly appears, chances are its driver will accelerate in an attempt to run you over. Take utmost care if you ever have to cross the street in Warsaw. Don't trust anyone. Pedestrians DO have the right of way in Poland – I've been informed – but 'nobody cares'. I will not visit this place again as long as the authorities don't tackle this issue, and I strongly advise you not to go there either. Unless you're suicidal, it will not be a pleasant visit.

    Beautiful
Walking down this street was unbelievable. Such a beautiful, lively street, full of beautiful Polish people. Lots of shops, cafes, bars... just make sure you check out the little hidden graffitied lanes, we found some awesome bars and music shops hidden behind Nowy Swiat...

    Full of life and colour!
The street is so lively to walk around. It gets crowded on a Friday night, leading in to the weekend. Its the best in the evening. With the street filled with pubs, clubs and eateries. A must visit when you are in Warsaw..

Nowy Swiat is a cool swanky street. Depending on which direction you are heading, you will either end up at the park or at Old Town. Either direction, you will see lots of cool old buildings mixed with modern appeal, nice restaurants, cool stores, the University of Warsaw, lots of friendly people as well as one of the best maintained streets I have ever seen! Very clean and very nice.

My favorite place to be when in Warsaw.. People, cafes, interesting buildings, lovely churches... did I forget something? A night walk is a must since it turns into a pedestrian street in the evening... Take notice of all the lovely buildings and continue through Krakowski przedmiescie , another lovely place for a walk... Don’t forget to touch the benches along the street and listen to Chopin tunes!
