    Great country!
Amazing country. We had a great time!! Easy to get around, I personally found the local food heavy for my taste. Nice berries and kind people. GREAT buildings and we got discounts with very cheap offers. Excellent means of transport. All decorated for Christmas and more snow and cold!

    Stunning palace in beautiful grounds
We enjoyed our visit here, as a way to relax for an hour or so after travelling. It is a way out of town, but we thought that it was worth breaking the journey from the airport, and enjoyed some food & drink in the charming onsite cafe. The palace exterior was stunning, with beautiful gardens, and faded yet glorious interior. Entry is approx €8 per adult (although it is free on Thursdays).

    Don't miss this
We had the good fortune of being guided by our excellent Warsaw guide on an optional excursion as part of Trafalgar Tours' Best of Poland . She explained everything significant about the Versailles of Poland including the story of how the King's beloved French Queen disliked the original Italian design but was subsequently happy with the French design! Can't forget how she had 16 pregnancies but only four children survived. So it's a love story somewhat like the Taj Mahal being built for a beloved Queen. You go through 2 levels of wondrous paintings, portraits, sculptures and artefacts, ceiling frescoes, bedrooms and chambers for visiting dignitaries. Then on to the grounds with the gardens in typical Hampton Court style . Thoroughly enjoyed being immersed in the aristocratic lifestyle of the era. Best done with a professional guide, just the audio guide I suspect, isn't adequate.

Far but the grounds are incredible
I came here via Uber on a Wednesday afternoon in early July 2024. It was an hour away from the city center by public transportation or 30 minutes via ride share. You purchase your tickets at the front then at the kiosk inside the Palace, you can rent the audio guide and pick it up at the bag check. The palace is huge with an incredible amount of history. It's a lot bigger than the Royal Castle and has a wonderful garden. Well worth the visit.

    A pleasant surprise!
A beautiful, clean, comfortable city! A pleasant surprise for us who are not looking for tourist destinations. It combines the traditional with the modern. It has many museums, beautiful restaurants and outdoor events. The weather in August perfect! You can stay in 4-star hotels at low rates. Economic destination. Pleasant for the child 8 years old.

    Polish grandeur
This is the most ornate and popular palace in Poland. Wilanów Palace, a short bus ride away from downtown Warsaw, is an unspoiled gem with plenty to offer. The seamlessly revamped building is a perfect illustration of the country's imperial history. This is also the best starting point to explore the country.

    The Royal Palace
The place is easily accessible by bus from the center of Warsaw so Recommendation to go there. But it is a residence not as spectacular as I would have expected so I was glad to have seen it but to have seen it on the day of free admission. If you choose free admission, I Recommendation to go there very early both because they will sell out tickets very quickly and because otherwise you will have to wait for hours for entry.

    Very good
This palace was fairly small but still very interesting. It is not too touristy, which makes it quiet and allows you to enjoy it at your own pace. Finding the ticket office was tricky as it is not next to the entrance. We got here easily by public transportation.

This beautiful baroque palace is a must-visit for tourists in Warsaw. The museum is definitely interesting but the best part is taking a walk around the beautiful gardens around the palace and admire the unique architecture from the outside. I especially recommend visiting the palace in the season surrounding Christmas where there is a special light installation in the gardens. Beautiful forms, sculptures, and pathways lit up with colorful Christmas lights. Part of the installation is synchronized with speakers and looks as if dancing to the music. There is are also interesting mapping shows where images and videos showing different stories are projected onto the palace.

It's not called like this by accident. Yes, Wilanów is smaller and perhaps less gorgeous than the French palace, but it also has a cameral charm that more than makes up for it. The gardens aren't very extensive, but beautifully situated near a nature preserve and still large enough to warrant an hour-long walk, while the palace itself has some of the richest interiors you will see in Poland and boasts an interesting collection of European and oriental art. In one of the wings, you even have an opportunity to witness experts at work restoring paintings and other exhibits!

Tip: Thursdays are free admission days, and don't miss the free mobile app with different thematic guides (general, for kids, "women in the palace", "restoration process") - QR codes for the download available throughout the building. Plan 3-4 hours on site and enjoy.

I've wanted to visit Wilanów since a read a biography of King Jan II Sobieski. I was not disappointed. I'd been to Poland previously, but this was high on my list to do this time, because we were traveling independently. It was the first place we visited on the day we arrived in Warsaw. Although tired from our long flight from Chicago, I'm so glad we visited. It in an amazing place and I highly recommend it, bit inside and out. The inside is beautifully furnished with interesting exhibits, and the outside grounds and gardens are meticulously groomed. A must-see on a visit to Warsaw.

No English guide (audio or in person) available, which greatly diminished the experience. We also had to fight groups for passage. Some rooms extremely dark which made it near impossible to read explanations. Also some stairways were dimly lit making it dangerous ( not all steps even). Be prepared to take public transportation for return as there are no taxi stands close by.

A beautiful palace with even more beautiful gardens. It's a pretty quiet place where you can rest and enjoy beautiful views.
I highly recommend it because it is a lifetime experience, and what is also importants it is cheap to get there (at least for students).

Good to tour this palace/museum with a guide to get the full impact. Interesting insights into the aristocrats’ way of life! The palace has had some 120 owners over the years, but is now a govt owned museum. Beautiful, attractive exterior; interior with some Baroque decor; lots of paintings. Surrounding gardens are probably fabulous in summer, but not much to see when we visited in October.

Wilanov Castle in Warsaw and the adjoining cathedral are really amazing for at least half a day visit. The exterior and interior are magnificent with extensive gardens and parkland. Taxis are very cheap in Warsaw so it was very inexpensive to get there and the taxi driver was so reliable he came back at
1 pm sharp to pick me up! The castle also has a great little restaurant.

We visited the Palace on our final afternoon in Warsaw and were running late due to very slow service at a nearby bar where we stopped for a quick(!) beer. Had not realised that last entry is at 3pm on a Thursday and so were in a bit of a mad panic to get the tickets, but were re-directed from the entry to a separate ticket office out near the front of the palace grounds, over 100m away. Despite being a few minutes late they still let us in.
If you have seen a few palaces, the interior is a bit underwhelming, fairly standard antiques and furniture, no really outstanding pieces or rooms or frescoes. The gardens are small but impressive (fully in flower during our visit in July). But I think the outside of the palace is the best part, particularly if you are lucky enough to have bright sunshine bring out the yellow (our day was cloudy but the sun did come out briefly to get a feel of how it looks).

A beautiful palace that is a feast for the eyes but there is little substance provided as a museum. We got the audio tour and walked the entire property. We left without a clue of when and why the palace was built, by whom, or how its residents lived. The display numbers of the audio tour and the flow of information were seemingly nonsensical. For example, it began on an upper floor with a tour through Asian-themed rooms and zero basic information about the palace. We then wandered through each display that had mind-numbing detail on some things while others simply describe what we’re seeing with our own eyes. No beginning, middle, end. No cohesive narrative. Impossible to retain this information. What a waste. Visit for the visuals but don’t bother trying to learn anything. The grounds and gardens are beautiful but are cheapened by tacky light-up decorations and giant artificial flowers. It takes away from the natural beauty.

A very beautiful city, combining the old with the modern new city. Too much green and beautiful parks. The Vistula river crosses the old and new town and creates beautiful landscapes. The pedestrian streets and parks that exist next to it give the feeling of a clean environment. The University library, which is worth a visit, with its green facade and roof on which one can walk and enjoy the view of the city, are a monument of a modern and well-planned city. There are no words to describe the cleanliness, the quality of MMM (buses, trams, Metro) and the beauty of this city, which lives largely from tourism. Only negative point is the usual and big traffic jams on the roads. The respect of all drivers towards pedestrians and towards other drivers who have priority is very impressive.
