Today it's the museum of Chopin, but it used to be a castle belonging to Ostrogski family.
Ostrogski are an offshoot of Rurikid dinasty of Viking origin, which ruled Ruthenia and early Russia. Parts of this dinasty remained in Poland-Lithuania after they lost power, and, under different names, retained some of the influence and wealth, while getting polonised. One, Wiśniowiecki, became a Polish king, and some other branches remain alive until today. Ostrogski family served Poland-Lithuania faithfully, one of them lead a battle of Orsza against Muscovy (Russia), a major, but mostly forgotten battle. The family was unique in its devotion to the Orthodox faith.

Very famous and loved Polish Composer. Museum worth a visit. It is interactive museum with special section for kids. Very interesting overall. Plus beautiful architecture inside the Palace. Next to the Palace is a fountain with duck sculpture as this part of Warsaw is connected to the Legend of a Golden Duck. Pretty walk in a park. It is half way down Tamka street and very close to Royal Tract though it is easy to miss. Look for very high walls.

This is a lovely little palace situated on the verge of the old town hill. It is home to the moden Fryderyk Chopin museum. Easy to miss it, even the nearby wall murals underline the place is all about the famous Pole. There is a nice park nearby, a small fountain with the legendary golden duck. As it is close to other main attractions in the city center, worth a visit.
