- Traveler OWashington DC, District of Columbia887 contributionsGarden PalaceGreat place and area to visit with family, friends, and kids. Located inside the botanical gardens area just outside the city center, it's an oasis away from traffic and people. Really enjoyed walking through the surrounding park. The building wasn't open when we were there, but was still picture worthy with plenty of good vantage points for good photos. Highly recommend going with a guide so as to ensure you get a full download on the area's history.Visited July 2019Written February 26, 2020
- Roberts69Northampton, United Kingdom18,167 contributionsThis is such a beautiful place and a must visit if in Warsaw. The first time I visited Warsaw I did not get chance to visit the 'Palace on the Isle' in the Lazienki Park so on this last trip I made sure I did and I am so glad as it is a very tranquil and beautiful place. It was October and so Autumn and the colours and the leaves made it even more special. There are Red Squirrels in the park which were very nice to see and there are boats you can take a 10 minute ride in on the Lake for 15 Zloty (per adult)... All very pleasant indeed. As well as walking in the lovely park and taking the boat ride we went inside the Palace and the Royal Apartments and Bathhouse were beautiful. Admission for the Palace Museum is 40 Zloty (about GB£7.50) for an adult ticket. In summary this is a very tranquil, calming and romantic place to visit and my wife and I both really enjoyed it and as such highly recommend it.Visited October 2022Written November 3, 2022
- John BToronto, Canada2,977 contributionsA must see when in Warsaw - do the audio tour!A stroll through beautiful Lazienki Park is an absolute must do when in Warsaw (lots of paths, ponds and serenity) and while there do take a tour of the palace. Tickets are just 25 PLN and include an excellent audio guide. The palace (also know as the Palace on the Isle) is really a museum with a great selection of old paintings (most from the collection of King Stanislaw August), sculptures and furniture. Remarkably, the palace survived WWII though there was extensive damage to the structure. Allow about an hour for your visit.Visited February 2020Written March 22, 2020

On Thursday afternoon of the first week of March we were trying to enter the Palace but unfortunately it was closed. We had a long walk from the city center that afternoon to visit this Palace.. having no clue for what reason was for closing the Palace, so we decided to stroll around the park at the surrounding area of the Lazienki Palace.
The area of this Palace is truly amazing widely, it took almost one hour to make a tour around the Palace. It’s better to use a bicycle if you are able to rent one or better to rent a Lime step ;-)
The park offer some diversity of different kinds of birds and beautiful fettered ducks in one of the ponds. There are also a lot of squirrel running around the grass field searching for food affer by peoples. They were really cute and not afraid at all for us.
Also there is a Chinese pagoda in the park for some kind of Festival purposes.
If you have a roller skates it would be so nice to ride around the park with it. No cars or moped allowed to enter those parks.
The only thing is that it was too bad that we’re not able to enter the Palace that afternoon.

Totally worth your time! Palace on the isle is all about charm and bliss on a beautiful day. Some epic work of art and nature's heavenly quietude surrounds the place. Exquisite birds and squirrels can be easily spotted nearby. Go for it! 😁

Nice small palace with bad organization. There was some school trip in queue before us. They let pupils in in groups of few people. Nobody cares that there are other tourists and we all had to wait to dozens of pupils get inside. The palace would close before we reached the door. Big thanks to very kind female tourist (or some private guide maybe) who negotiated that we can skip the line.

Lovely place to visit on a warm day. The surrounding parkland is peaceful and cooling - particularly if it is hot. You could spend a few hours wondering around here. So relaxing and not far by bus (180, 116) from the town centre. The palace setting is wonderful to see. It was not open on the day we visited but it didn't matter

Should visit. Though makes more sense if it is a part of your overall city tour. Hence make sure that any of your private tour in Warsaw has this inclusion. I went in Feb end when it was cold but still enjoyed the place. Lot of local stories / folklore attached which makes it interesting.

The influence of France on the Poles is clearly visible here. If there is a piano recital, be sure to buy tickets. It’s a wonderful opportunity to enjoy some Chopin and step back in time

You have many buildings in this park. The whole complex. Main palace on the island - I think 40 minutes is enough to see it inside.
I recommend going to the place where "orange trees" used to be - there is also a beautiful hidden theatre. I saw scupltures along corridors but I wasnt much interested so I didnt stop in front of every sculpture. 25 minutes was enough. Add some time between buildings - 15 minutes. If you ask me - 1,5-2 was enough to run thru and see both. If you want to see and think about architecture- add another 2 hours. it is raining today. If the weather is fine you can go thru the park. You can sit in the park. You can also buy a big ticket that covers all 4 buidings and visit all buidings, even small ones. They are not close to each other. If you want to visit all- 3,5 hours. 5 euro if you want to visit palace on an island. 4 euro to see hidden theatre (it was the best). 3 euro if you want to visit so called - palace of the hunter. White tiny house - another 2 euros. Or you can buy one ticket to see all - 9 euros and you will be given an audioguide. It is a popular place so English versions must be available.

if you stay near to Warsaw Radisson Blue (old) like me must take tram line, perhaps change to some cross but i can't remember the lines now. It's easy to find from the map tram of this city the lines. It's unusual to walking till this place because the area don't have nothing more from buildings and roads except the presidental palace.
So if you want to win time take tram, it's easy and cheap !
