- SarnyBexleyheath, United Kingdom411 contributionsGreat views of the cityA beautiful building worth visiting for the building alone and then of course the viewing platform on the 30th floor is great. It's 20 zloty to go up to the viewing platform or we got a ticket for 29 zloty each which included a coffee in the cafe up on that level. The cafe is beautiful, the lady who served us very friendly and the choice of cakes reasonably priced - we had apple strudel for 9 zloty - it was a large slice and delicious. As for the viewing platform it goes right around the building so great views of the city. We went up on a Saturday evening just before dusk so had views by day and night. The 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the very long queue to use the one lift in service - it took us about 45 minutes in the queue to go up and about 30 minutes in the queue to go down. Overall though we were glad we went.Visited February 2022Traveled as a coupleWritten February 5, 2022
- ElephantemgHertfordshire, United Kingdom567 contributionsGreat Place to visit, but book online!I had planned to visit but took me a while to spot the entrance! The queue when i arrived was really long, so i used the wifi at Nero coffee shop to purchase tickets online, much quicker! Once you get through, past the cloakroom, to the lifts there was no one waiting. The lifts are manned and you cant explore the rest of the office building as its one stop. At the top there is lots more space than i remembered. A shop for souvenirs, a cafe, deckchairs to chill (but too low to sit and enjoy the view), and various telescopes to get a closer view. It really does give you a great view of the whole city and beyong, with information boards so you know what you are looking at. A great way to get to grips with the layout!Visited July 2019Written March 5, 2020
- dnalecizMoreno Valley, California414 contributionsA controversially building in a modern worldThe Palace of Culture and Science (Palac Kutury i Nauki or Kin) is a high-rise building located in downtown Warsaw, Poland. This 42-floor building Socialist realism and art deco building was a gift from the Soviet Union to Poland. This building is 778 feet tall, topped with a needle of 141.08 feet. It is the second tallest building in Poland and considered a showpiece of Poland and can be observed from most areas of Warsaw. The 3882 rooms in this building houses public and cultural institutions, a multiplex cinema with eight screen, four theatres, libraries, university faculties and sport clubs. One can find two museums (Museum of Technology and Museum of Evolution), offices, bookshops, a swimming pool and a three thousand seat auditorium. Located on the 11th and 12th floor is the Collegium Civitas, an accredited university. The Polish Academy of Sciences also has its headquarters located in this facility. Four 21-foot clocks decorated the top of the building. Located on the 12th floor is an observation deck with 360’ view of Warsaw and the surrounding area. Cost to visit the observation deck is approximately $5.00 US or 40 Ztote. Be aware the elevator to the observation deck is extremely slow and the lines are exceptionally long. Waited an hour for elevator trip to the deck. The view is well worth the wait. Over the years, this building has been modernized and in 2010 LED lights were added which allows the Palace to be lite up at night. Currently the Palace is light up every evening in blue and yellow, the national colors of the Ukrainian flag. A remarkable display of Polish solidarity with its neighbor Ukraine. Over the years this building has become a problem for the Polish government as it is a symbol of Soviet influence. Calls for it is demolishment are a daily occurrence. At present the building remains. This is a fascinating building and should be visited.Visited April 2022Written May 18, 2022

A communist relic. When there was a time that they wanted to demolish it, now a symbol of the center of Warsaw with night illuminations, fountains and a park. And above all, the seat of the legendary Studio Theater with many stories, a dramatic theater and a vantage point on the 30th floor, accessible by a high-speed elevator. The Palace also houses several cafes and the Museum of Technology, an important point on the map of Warsaw.

Building is really impressive from outside, but for tourists there is nothing inside the building. If you want to go to observation deck you need to wait in long queue to buy tickets, then in even longer line in crowded room for elevator up to observation deck and then in 3rd line to elevator down. We got out of the elevator and there was no obvious exit sign (Even Polish did not know where to go). Once again horrible organization in Poland. Going inside is wasting your time. The view was nice but nothing unique for so much time spent in queues. Observation deck is good even for people who suffer fear of heights. When we wanted to leave the building, It was heavy rain outside, so we needed to hide in entry hall, but there is nothing to do or where to sit, no benches, nothing, so people were standing outside under the roof behind the pillars . There are only 2 cafes and some spider exhibition, that is all. So we bought some drinks in cafe and waited for better weather there.

All over the world, many buildings exist which were built by occupation forces or by empires. Long after the last victims are dead, these structures cease to be painful reminders and become what they always were intended to be by the builders: masterful works of human ingenuity and art. This massive Stalinsky skyscraper is breath-taking and beautiful, eerily reminiscent of American skyscrapers of the 1910-1920s found in New York City or other major metropolises of the era. The lighting always changes for whatever occasion is pertinent. The view from the top being the well known best in all the city. One cannot ignore the might of such a building and it's timeless place in the city.

This iconic 237-meter-high building was completed in 1955.
Besides the many other functions in the building, there is an observation deck on the 30th floor with panoramic views of the city from a height of 114 meters.
This time, there were so long queues that we skipped the observation deck. From our hotel room on the 38th floor at InterContinental next door, we had the same views and could also see this palace.
In the dark, the palace looked especially stunning. The illumination with high-power LED lights allows the building to be seen in various colors.

Would taste higher as it is such a cool building but (and maybe out was just us) but we couldn't find the right entrance for ages. We also struggled buying tickets online and had to queue in the 2 different queues a couple of times... it was very uncomfortable and frustrating.
It was a pretty cool view from the top - went we finally made it.
So, maybe if you are booking in advance, or thinking of going at all, try to find the quietest time and confirm your online tickets have gone through before queuing.. 🙈
Great to get some souvenirs from the top (not that expensive which was a pleasant surprise!) And enjoy an ice cream and seat! (Another welcome surprise!)

This is a huge building that has several side buildings housing a movie theater, a performing arts center, a small natural history museum, a museum of technology, a nightclub, a Cuban Music Center, and a tourist center. The main building itself has many rooms for performances along with a seemingly permanent exhibition of spiders and creepy crawly things, two big cafes in the lobby, and a viewing tower from the very top. The side museums/performing art centers can be a bit tricky to find, so have your Google maps ready and enjoy the walk around this Soviet era behemoth.

This building is really huge! Currently, the palace is home to several theatres and museums, a cinema, there are pubs and there is the main Warsaw Tourist Information office too.
You can go up to the observation deck on the 30th floor of the building. However, I didn't visit this observation deck, because the line for tickets was very long and the second line for the elevator was even longer.

I had read some reviews that there were interesting restaurants and things to do at the "Palace". Sadly, unless you're up for a cafeteria experience and some dreary stores there's little here to see and do (of course, there could be some interesting shows in the theatres). We never made it up to the observation deck due to a very long line - that may have save the day from what was otherwise a waste of time.

The Palace of Culture and Science is a high-rise building in Warsaw, was the highest but not anymore. It is the most famous and most preserved monument of socialist realism in the country. It was opened in 1955. The palace includes several museums - technical, youth, evolution and congress hall. There is an observation deck on the 30th floor.

A good old communist era building which looks like a mini Empire State Building that has a viewing platform on the 33rd floor. Well worth the small wait to get into the lift. Gives a great view of Warsaw.

Hi Victor,
I'm not sure if Google did translate correctly. However, perhaps helps to ask Google (unfortunately it is forbidden to write url-adresses here where you could find all the information you need)
Look for 'Palace kultury', 'warsawtour'
