Interesting to learn the Polish history. The castle was completely bombed out in WW II and had to be rebuilt. It is lovely and looks as it did before it was destroyed. We visited the last Sunday of the month and admission was free. Takes...More

Place destroyed in 100% in 1944 by German Nazis. Rose up from ashes after 1945.....It is beautiful place to spend afternoon and get amazed.... So much history, and rare historical landmarks rebuilded, to the smallest details, amazing painting, architecture structure. Must see while in there.

Just a few blocks from the main square, a very interesting visit to this castle, provided that most of it has been reconstructed, it brings you back to Poland's imperial times, look for the couple Rembrandts in the permanent collection!

The center point of any visit to Warsaw. Albeit, it requires some preparation and reading beforehand to have the experience the most enjoyable and informative.

We thought we would spend about an hour walking through the Royal castle- after the 2nd room, we knew this place is fantastic! Our first introduction is a photo of the devastation following WW2- the castle was a ruin. the people pulled together and rebuilt...More

Although recreated after the war, the selection of art is spectacular to say the least. The opulence of royal life is nicely portrayed.

Nothing special. Nothing unique. It has a very limited collection. The only upside was to observe the staff who were way too many and very much like they were at home in that museum...

the Palace is sober and elegant, is close to the city old town, with a square at the end of the area of Krakowskie Przedmiescie. Go early.

It is an unmistakable stark red bricked building that stands strong as you enter of the Old Town. The Royal Castle is a must visit for all who visit this delightful little town. A sturdy red wall of strength that surprises you with rooms of...More

The restoration work was impressive, as was the scale of the rooms and the artwork. The audio guide was informative but not too long, and there was plenty of space to enjoy and engage with the surroundings.

With your ticket you get an illustrated leaflet with map and short description of the most interesting rooms. Also, as you tour the rooms THERE ARE explanations on stands both on Polish and English. It's enough if you're not... More

I would say three to four because I also visited the Gallery there (separate entrance fee- well worth it) You are better to allow more time and if you leave early there are dozens of great restaurants around the castle to... More
