We had not planned to visit the castle, having suffered a bit of "old house fatigue" in Europe, but happened to be in Warsaw on a Sunday, when tickets are free, and figured we see what we wanted and leave. We could have spent the entire day going through private quarters, throne room, audience chamber, etc and seeing all the... More

I spent a pleasant two hours wandering around, the staff were friendly and helpful, though the way around was confusing occasionally, but not an issue, an enjoyable visit

The Royal Castle was only rebuilt since 1974. However you would never think that. Everything as it was back to the 1700s, the painting, some as copies of the originals lost during the war are beautiful. The kings rooms are splendid, from the silk wallpaper to the gold guilded ceilings, it shows how the monarchs of Poland lived. Well worth... More

Stunningly beautiful. The historical movies and the incredibly beautiful furnishings are well worth a visit. Allow 1-2 hours minimum to fully appreciate it all. Many school groups so be prepared for lots of crowds of kids.

This is a remarkable venue. The large display of historical aspects of the Polish people are well laid out, and if you have questions, they will be answered.

You wouldn't know it but this castle is a full reproduction of the original. Information boards available in every room, incl an English translation. The castle was very good, the route map is useful to understand the best way to appreciate all the rooms. What would be helpful is the knowledge at point of purchasing tickets that there is also... Our visit to the Heritage Interpretation Centre reinforced the phenomenal undertaking involved in restoring the Old Town and the Royal Castle after all were reduced to rubble in the war. It truly is an outstanding achievement. The castle beautifully dominates plac Zamkowy and King Sigismund's Column framed against it create a breathtaking vista against the azure sky. Treasures and artworks... More

We spent a little over two hours here and could have stayed longer. The castle interior is well maintained. We purchased the audio guide in addition to entrance ticket. It was well worth it. The audio guide is informative and interesting. You can listen to some, all and additional room, exhibit explanations.

This castle is the only restored palace in the whole area. The outside is bland but the inside is spectacular. Many rooms reflect the splendor of the period. Thrones, paintings, fabulous ornamentation covered in gold. I recommend the audio guide to enhance your understanding of the rooms and circumstances. Count on a good hour.
