Plush, gilded elegance

Quite unexpected, so plush, gold everywhere, the rooms majestic and beautifully restored, lots of red on the walls and furniture. Helpful staff, great touring.

Walked Into the castle square and noticed the 4 different architecture types. Each king wanted to add his style to the castle.

You really won't like it if you visit it alone. Please find a guide or an article from the internet before visiting it. Then you will love the history from it !

The castle itself is an interesting mix of different architectural styles and has been carefully restored following its destruction during the second world war. If you're in Warsaw on a Sunday and want to visit then be sure to go then - it's free and yet wasn't overly crowded when we went. We spent about 1-2 hours looking around and... More

The castle was built in the 1970s and is filled with Art that is old. It's a magnificent looking castle with many rooms and chambers that look they are 200 plus years old, but it's all faux- Walt Disney because the castle was destroyed in World War 2. Why goto a castle from 1975? Kind of strange to me and... More

The courtyard is free and huge, the rest of the places need tickets for which (if you dont book in advance) one has to stand in a queue for LONG time (we had to wait for 2 hours to get the tickets), so be prepared. At least the Castle Cathedral has a different ticket office. If you can handle the... More

Many people often get the wrong impression of the Eastern European area. However a visit to these sorts of areas sets it right. Poland is beautiful and the Slavic world is too. The restored halls and original features gave us a real view of it. Being from Kraków I was always sceptical of Warsaw but what has been done here... More

If you are visiting Warsaw, you have to go to see the Royal Castle. There are a lot of paintings and everything has been maintaining very well.

This palace functions as a museum. The only thing I was interested in seeing was the heart of Kościuszko, a polish national hero. I had to ask ELEVEN museum employees before I finally found it. Every response I got when I opened my mouth to ask was "I don't speak English." What's worse is it showed a complete lack of... More
