If you have been to other castles, palaces in France or the UK, this probably isnt that exciting. But its an attractive building, with some very beautiful rooms. Admission is a little pricey for Poland, but it is well worth seeing.

The Royal Palace is in fact not the original but was rebuilt in the 1970's from original plans and drawings after having been bombed into oblivion by the Nazis in 1939. The interiors have been carefully and lovingly restored. Due to the recurrent destruction and pillage in Poland by various enemies eg. Swedes,Nazis and Russians the country has produced many... A magnificent replica of the original castle destroyed by the Nazi's in WWII. Beautifully redone and impressive. Well worth the visit.

It was rebuilt, after WWII - in the late 70s. It is beautiful, well decorated...makes one want to linger. It is free on Thursdays, so are most museums in Warsaw.

Janus-like the Zamek offers two faces, one Medieval towards the Old City, one Baroque towards the Vistula, both equally interesting. And the inside, beautifully restored, matches the outside; Splendid!

The Castle was completely decimated during World War II. It was rebuilt by private donations and the generosity of of the Polish people in spite of the Communist Regime that did not want it rebuilt. The furnishings and art work are lovey although much of it is not original to the Castle.

The castle was completely rebuilt after the war. The rooms are beautiful, with lots of artwork by Polish artists.

You need to get a ticket for entrance, even though it's free on Sunday. The history, artwork and decor is stunning. So much to see and admire. One can appreciate the history and importance of the Polish dynasty.
