    Very lively
It’s still Christmas here in February in castle square! Beautiful lights everywhere, mulled wine and fire juggling/dancing. The castle looked beautiful, all lit up with snowflakes. Lots of booths and shops selling lovely pastries and local produce.

    A beautiful, spacious square
Don't confuse Castle Square with Old Town Square (they are about a five minute walk apart). Castle Square is vastly larger and occupies prime real estate outside of the restored Palace. It bustles with activity at all times of the day with families taking over in the evening even during cold weather, At the centre of the square is Sigismund's Column which was originally built in 1644. It was almost completely destroyed by the Germans in 1944 but then restored and installed in 1946.

    Heart and soul of Warsaw!
Castle Square is the hub of activity in Old Town of Warsaw. Relatively quiet in the morning, by noon, the square is humming with vendors, entertainers, and photo-snapping tourists. As the name implies, the Royal Castle overlooks the square, which also features King Sigismund's Column.

Probably the best part of the old town lots of tourists and locals around.

During Xmas a wonderful huge Xmas tree decorated the middle of the square.

With restaurants around the perimeter it’s a great meeting place to sit down and watch the day/night go by.

We still enjoyed a christmas tree although it was high tine to take it out. Particular recommendable to visit by evening when the royal castle is lighted.
Spend some time on the stairs at the Zygmunt III Waza colon. It is a meeting pount in Warsaw.

Always lot of people. However Royal Castle in Warsaw is a place which is on "must to see" place, this is very difficult to come here and enjoy the place. Always lot of people and lot of events (loud events). Old Town together with Castle Squeare is really nice place to see, but I am sorry, the castle squere is not my beloved.

A large square, rebuilt to look like pre World War II Warsaw. Lacking soul and life, yet bustling with tourists and beggars with open cups. Walk through, glance around and continue on your journey throughout War I Saw.

Completely leveled by the retreating Germans in World War II, this central Castle square has been rebuilt and returned to its former glory. Great place for photos and appreciating much of the Old Town area. The entire area is very walkable and pleasant for taking your time. Uber/taxis can get you close, but it's advisable to have them stop nearby vice right by the square as traffic often comes to a standstill during the tourist season.

Main tourist attraction of the city. A century ago, the old town area was much larger with substantially more to see and enjoy. Unfortunately, the enemy forces of World War II, bombed this city almost completely flat. Some of the area has been reconstructed. Good places to sit, have a bowl or two of zurek soup, some pierogis, and a bottle of Tyskie beer.

It's almost always brimming with tourists. I have been the it twice, and will go back given the chance. It's quite relaxing to watch people as they enjoy themselves taking pictures of the attractions.🇵🇱

This is where most people start their visit of Old Town. You can go for a tour by horse carriage, watch all the tourists arriving or just listen to the street musicians. There are a lot of restaurants along the square also.

fascinating square that ago from perfect frame to Castle.

Completely rebuilt in the second half of the twentieth century is still alive and full of people. from irregularly shaped is bordered by the typical case narrow and high colorful and for some Palace most important.

Focal point, in addition to the tower of the Castle, the famous column Sigismund, symbol of the city and the point of reference for each meeting! impossible not to visit and not dine in one of the many restaurants! to see and especially from live! @gargio76
