About Warsaw Behind the Scenes
Warsaw Behind the Scenes was set up in the year 2011. We are the locals who give the chance to experience the best of our hometown. To understand its history, culture and people. What makes our tours special are our guides’ personalities, that ensure a true contact with our individual travellers as well as groups in a friendly, cultural and knowledgeable way. Classic Polish cars called Żuk (the beetle) and history served in “edible way”, mixed with the little secrets of our city, local cuisine and a personalized approach to our guests, are the key elements ensuring the quality of our Warsaw tours.

Fascinating trip back in time to WW2, the appalling treatment of the Jewish people by the Nazis and the takeover of Poland by Communist Russia. Quite sad but heartening to hear about their brave attempts to fight off the aggressors. Our guide was very knowledgeable and personable . Great lunch break with excellent food.

We had our tour with Art and he was one of the best tour guides we have ever had! We learned a lot about Soviet times and WWII times in Poland. The photos he shows you when you are at the historic site really help understand the change Warsaw has seen in the last 70 years. He made the tour a lot of fun and showed us the important sites and monuments for WWII. But he explained them as well - he told great stories and tied them with historical facts so it really sunk in. The retro minibus was fun too and we did not have to walk very much which was good for our tour group after a long day. This was a truly amazing tour and I would do it again!
