Krakowskie Przedmiescie is one of the most prestigious streets in Warsaw and runs through the Old Town from the Royal Castle to Nowy Świat. There are some of the most significant sights to be seen along the route with a huge array of churches and palaces to be seen. On our visit during May Day weekend the weather was good... More

Take your camera for there are many picturesque buildings and views. Lots of cafes, bars and shops make for a very pleasant stroll ... just wish it was a longer street!

It is one of the most beautiful Warsaw street with old renovated houses, old style lantern, almost no cars. Lots of small cafes and restaurants. It leads to the Old Town.

We stayed at The Hotel Bristol here and so spent lots of time here. There are some places to eat although Nowy Swiat is close for more variety. Bear in mind that this is closed to traffic at weekends so buses all take a diversion.

This street is a must for walkers. Start at King Sigismund's Column near the Royal Castle in Old Town and go all the way to Nowy Swiat (New World Street). There are lots of shops, sidewalk cafes, churches, sculptures, and historical buildings to see along the way. We were at the Warsaw Sofitel and loved being in the center of... More

If you are planning to stay in Warsaw a few days for sightseeing I definitely recommend staying in this area, as it is central and more charming than new downtown. I stayed in a college dorm on this street and found it to be the perfect location for exploring Old Town.

Starting at the Palace Square in Old Town, it goes all the way to Krakow. There are many important buildings along this "promenade" including the Presidential Palace, Potocki Palace, University of Warsaw, St. Anne's Church and many more.

We hop off from our bus on the other end of and then started to walk towards Old Town. There are so many attractions on your way, that this street is a must visit while you are in Warsaw. Dozens of restaurants, bars, shops etc on your way. Of course not the cheapest street in Warsaw, but it's understandable considering... More
