About
Coctail Bar Max & Dom Whisky on Nowy Świat 32 is our fifth venue and a second cocktail and whisky bar in Warsaw (the first one is placed on Krucza 16/22 street). The place combines cocktail bar 8 meters high with over 2000 bottles of spirits to choose from. We also serve there our famous cocktail fruits with fruits garnishes, prepared from alcohol and fresh fruits of Your choice. The second floor is dedictaed to whisky bar where our whisky Amabassadors in scottish kilts will help You decide which from over 4000 of whisky and whiskey will be the best choice for You, depending on Your flavour preferences. The newest edition to our concept is 'cuban room' combining rum and cigar lounge. As in all our cocktail and whisky bars, we do not have menus (too many bottles ;) or waiter service, just come by talk to our bartenders and create Your own cocktail.

Huge selection of this world's liquors. They can and will mix everything you want. Been here 2 times.

At first u get amazed with the place... so many whisky to offer... place had to cost milions to fix..
When we come to the bar we had been surpriced there is not MENU. Okey gir try to offer us some coctlail but she just ask what fruit we like... she didnt try to offer or combinate..she just stay quiet wait what u will alone choose. She should try more to recomend some tastes. In the end we didnt took coctails because we really dont know what will be nice to combinate.
We went upstairs and ask for plain whisky, there barman was more helpfull. I give extra point for wearing kilt :)

I put 3 points total. The downstairs part supposed to work without so you make a kind of conversation with the barista to find suitable coctail especially for you. But our communication was awful so 0 points for downstairs. Up is some part with 4000 different whiskeys that was perfect also the atmosphere also the barmans there they have knowledge of their job and whiskey- 5 points up! Average 3/5

It's like a museum of drinks,

This is a bar where you go to the bartender and say what fruit you like and then they make a drink after that.
We were 4 people there, and all of the drinks were really bad.
I asked for melon and strawberrys. I got some strange drink that had no melon in it.
And they were arrogant when we told them that we didnt like the drinks.
We will never ever go here again!

Dear Patrick, could You please write when such situation happened and who was serving You? Everytime when You do not like your cocktail you can change it without any problem since we do not have menus and our cocktails are prepared on Your preferences. We can assure You tha if You ordered melon cocktail for sure you had there fresh melon with strawberries. We have fresh fruits everyday so there was no chance You did not get Your melon in Your cocktail. Best Regards

No cocktail menu...the bartender is the menu! We had a gin based cocktail - it was to die for. Loved this bar

We had looked up this place before travel and made sure we paid a visit. Downstairs is a cocktail bar but upstairs is more like a lounge. Comfy leather chairs and a fantastic choice of whisky. Bourbon is our thing and they had loads, many that are hard to find at home. The staff are lovely the atmosphere is brilliant and the drink choice out of this world. This place is a good enough reason on it's own to visit Warsaw.

I was visited this branch of the Max & Dom as their main no1 rated bar was closed for refurbishment when we visited Warsaw. So not sure how this newer version located on Nowy Świat is in comparison but I assumed it would share many of the same characteristics and staff as the much hyped original bar.
I had read up about the “no-menu” policy and was open minded and excited to try their bespoke fruit cocktails concocted on the basis of whatever your favourite fruits are.
Bar was busy but service was incredibly slow and their seemed to be no system implemented by the bartenders to make sure that the customers waiting at the bar longest were served first. They seemed more keen to serve the ladies than men. I normally wouldn’t wait 20 minutes but I wanted to see what the fuss was about.
Once I did get served the fruit cocktails we got were not very good and actually all tasted pretty similar despite asking for very different fruit flavours. They were incredibly frothy and the mushy texture was not appealing at all. Tasted more like a smoothie than a delicious cocktail. Also whilst the presentation was interesting, regardless of your request they put the same pre-made water melon garnish regardless of your choice of drink (not very bespoke afterall).
Overall I don’t mind paying a higher prices for a cocktail for excellent tasting cocktails and service but this place delivered neither given the expectations. Most disappointing bar we visited in Warsaw. Save yourself some money and go to other much better drinking establishments in the city.

Love this place, this is the best place in warsaw for drinks and service. Great atmosphere comfortable chairs.
