About
Opening in late 2016, Smolna is a 900-capacity venue in Warsaw with a musical focus on house & tech house. The club also features headliners from techno and experimental electronic music. Situated in a historic tenement in Warsaw's city centre, the club has a rough, shadowy and simplistic design, with three dance floors, two outdoor areas, a chill-out room, an indoor air-conditioned smoking room.

- Patricia AMadrid, Spain264 contributionsAmazing musicI suppose maybe it had to do with the language barrier but I read on the internet that the music started at 9:00PM the night I went, so I got there at 10:00. I paid 40zl (10 euro) and when I got inside I discovered that till 12:00 AM I only had access to the patio which was almost empty when I arrived. And I was told I couldn’t leave and come in again. Just a misunderstanding I guess. But at 12 when all the rooms were open and the club started getting packed, it was amazing. The sound is incredible. There’s room to sit and smoke in many areas. I really the club overall. And I felt like the people there were mostly locals. There’s a no picture policy so they put stickers on your phone camera when you enter. I say if you like electronic music or drum&bass, give it a chance.Visited November 2017Traveled soloWritten November 18, 2017

- Pietro SEdinburgh, United Kingdom5 contributionsPretentious average placeOk place but with typical for Poland pretentious leaning.Random and idiotic selection at the door was almost funny if was not pathetic. Pretty good music with not so extortionate prices.comical " no fones" rules, pissed upon toilets ( but that is normal, let' s not single out this place") Ok place but would never consciously picked it for a night out with group of friends. We got in but ppl before us did not for God knows what reason ( looked just average as us)Visited April 2023Traveled with friendsWritten June 14, 2023

Loved the vibe in Smolna, the building itself is interesting with lots of character and feels like you're in a houseparty in an old mansion. The music was good and there was a nice crowd. Also like the fact theres a really chilled bar that you can sit down in if the music is too much.

Its a terrible place. First when we try to get in they told us we cannot get in because one of our friend had a shirt on and the dresscode is T-shirt. What is not true! We checked the website and there Was nothing mentioned about dresscode. After we tried again...but we did not get in again because we Was not able to name the DJ's who Was playing there.

Had an awesome night out here with friends.
Cool atmosphere, two stages open at the time (though there are more), one with more mellow (electronic) music and the main one with good techno.
No-nonsense vibe: was asked to remove my shirt at the entrance or I would not get in.

Best Electronic music in town!
Sometimes you need to wait in a queue to enter but totally worth it. Inside you will find special ambient friendly, no posh people.
Two scenes inside, awesome chill put room. Club is clean and smell so good, especially chill out area.
Plenty of toilets is a plus.
Cant wait to go there again!

Great little underground club. It seems to me the only people complaining are the ones that didn’t get let in. Female bouncer let me and my friend in with no issues. The bouncers didn’t mind we weren’t local.
We enjoyed everything. Cheap to get in, cheap drinks, banging music and everyone dancing.
I will definitely be coming back.

I’m a Jewish person and I went to Poland because of the history of my people. When I wanted to have some good time with my friends we decided to go to Smolna club. In the selection, the selector heard us speak in Hebrew, he called us atisematic names and I went out of the line crying. A place like that should be closed.

We were a group of 9 people, and most of us where not white. The bouncers said we did not fit the clubs clientel. I would never go to a place with such a racist attitude, and I am happy I saw how they treat my friends (I'm caucasian) so I did not give my money to them.

Pros: good bookings from time to time, fairly good sound, clean.
Cons: long queues with bouncers letting people in as slowly as possible to make the place look crowded, stickers on cameras (lol), lots of people who come there just to show off, fairly expensive bar, no timetables and a very small main dancefloor - no way to dance.
If you're looking for a posh party - go to smolna. If you're looking for good techno and want to enjoy it then go somewhere else.

International class techno music, Berghainy atmosphere like nowhere in Warsaw, good alcohol prices and nice crowd. What Else? Smolna is definitely your 1st choice in Warsaw if your into electronic music. :)

I was just wondering what the dress code is for getting into the nightclub as I'm traveling from Ireland with my boyfriend who only brought a pair of runners with him 😐

When there's a famous DJ playing, getting in might be a bit tricky. The queue gets long, so it's a good idea to come early, dress appropriately, wear right shoes, have your ID on you (21+), don't behave like you're drunk or on drugs and know who's playing that night. That should maximize your chances of getting in.
