Beautiful statue in the centre of Lazienki Park near the palace, a very prominent position as befits such a war hero of the Polish nation.
Actually the statuary in Lazienki Park is one of the best things about the place, they are really numerous and prominent. The Sobieski Monument is one of many really interesting ones.

This statue is dedicated to one of the unsong heroes of history.
Location is not great, being rather off the usual tourist path, but it's not too far from the famous Lazienki Palace, so it's more than worthy to check it out.
The symbolism of the statue is amazing. Fitting tribute to this man and his achievements.

There are many statues to admire in the extensive grounds of Lazienki Park, and this is one of them, located on a small bridge over one of the canals. A fairly detailed baroque style statue it may be worth a quick look if you're already in the vicinity.

John III Sobieski was a Polish general who, in recognition of his victories against the Turks, became the king of Poland and, as such, lead the relief of Vienna in 1683.
This baroque statue on the verge of Łazienki Park shows him trumpling a Turk.
The king appears not very realistic in his pose (it's mostly about the head).

This is a very impressive statue among the grounds of the beautiful Lazienki park and is recommended to visit.
I admired the workmanship and details and you can find more than you think you will after your preliminary look.
