About
This is a great small zoo, just outside the old town area. You could walk, or take a tram there easily. Small zoo and a botanic garden as well. Great for families, many different animals, birds, lizards, lemurs, and more!

To walk from the old town, go through the arch where the Bread Kitchen is located, cross the main road and head for the Piludski statute walk along the path following the tram works (they are relaying the tram lines) and its a 5 or 10 minute walk along the main road. There is a tram stop outside (not functioning at the moment). We got there and it was closed!

Very disappointing gardens and not well kept at all, we walked through them with caution as we were told to be wary of ticks!!

We visited this animal garden in January and most of the animals were sleeping. I do not understand why they are operating in wintertime. This place is small and not really attractive for us. Maybe we will give a second chance in summertime.

At 30zl for a familly of four I can't really fault the zoo. Its small enough, but really a couple of hours of wandering around was enough for us. Top tip though, the pathways are sandy, so decent (not open toed) footwear is highly recommended.

This is the place where I used to go with my small kids. At this time it was only a botanical gardens. Later the animals came - goats, and yak. Now it is a small zoo with a lot of attractions.

I have seen many zoo's around the world and this one is rather dis-appointing! There is not much to see here, and the animal enclosures were very small! I took my children here and they were very disappointed!

We visited Torun for a few days, and after several days of old towns, castles, and other historic sites, this zoo was a perfect find! It is just outside the old town, you can walk, take a tram, or find street parking. It has a nice botanic gardens as well. There are animals ranging from turtles, lizards, owls, zuber, lemurs, goats, and more. There is a small petting zoo where kids can feed animals as well.
