About
The Invisible House is one out of 7 tourist attractions in the world (of which we know) that presents the world by switching off the sense of sight. And it is one of the 5 most important places to visit in Torun. The tour lasts about 60 minutes and takes place in total darkness. Considering the fact of strong emotions experienced during the tour, we kindly invite persons at age 9+. The Invisible House directs its emotions to each of us individually. The proposed tour is of very unique, individual and personal character. Therefore, we would like to ask our visitors not to talk to friends or families of what they have seen here, or in fact, of what they have not seen in the Invisible House. Such reports and suggestions may interfere with experiences and impressions of our future visitors.

I believe everyone should visit this place as one hour of 'being blind' made me realize how much I value my sight. However not recommended in groups bigger than three people, as me and my four friends struggled to touch the objects and experience all of it at once. After the sightseeing we had a possibility to ask the guide questions about being blind and his honest answers had most certainly fed our curiousity. I still relive this event...

Placed in the strict center of the old town, The Invisible House is a great, not-so-obvious choice for spending an interesting afternoon in this historic city. Refreshing alternative to long sightseeing walks along Wisła river, surrounding parks and, of course, the city square. Great service in English and an overall eye-opening experience. Greetings to our guide Artur, thank you for the awesome trip!

Absolutely amazing experience! The best thing, I believe, I did in Torun. It is not only entertaining (for both adults and children), but it also makes you think and opens your eyes in many ways, even when you can see nothing. Must-do when in Torun!

Absolutely amazing. Fun but also a great insight into what it's like to have to rely on all of your other senses.
Don't read the reviews as some will spoil your visit.
Add the blind painting- which isn't painting but drawing- it was a nice way to finish the tour and gave us all a lovely keepsake of the day.

What a great idea! I will say no more. Shows a great sensitivity and respect to those sight challenges. I have never seen anything like that. Too bad COVID complicates smooth operations.

Are tours offered in English that solo travelers can join or do you already need to be in a group?

Ogólnie to oprowadzają przewodnicy i tak na żywo o wszystkim opowiadają/komentują. Nie ma żadnych audiobooków, a przynajmniej ja z moją grupą nie uświadczyłam, ani nie widziałam niczego takiego u innych grupek. Lepiej do nich zadzwonić i zapytać, czy jest taka możliwość, bo czasami przewodnicy ostrzegają o niektórych rzeczach i lepiej wtedy rozumieć, co tak naprawdę mówią (chociaż też możesz jej to tłumaczyć). Aż tak dużo się nie odzywają, to bardziej muzeum doświadczania, niż słuchania, ale warto się upewnić, bo może oferują taką opcję.
