Great entertainment for the whole family, both for older and younger

An amazing place for everyone. Fantastic, modern, interactive museum. An amazing journey to the beginnings of Polish statehood. Can you get to know history and have a great time ? A stay in this interactive center is a great example that you can. A well-designed route and a friendly staff will tell you which sightseeing mode , for children or adults, we should choose. I recommend this one for adults, because it is more interesting and longer, but you can easily skip exhibits that do not interest us. But don't let the term "children's version" fool you. This is not some infantile story about the beginning of history, but a large portion of interesting information provided in the form of a game that will interest everyone, regardless of age. Amazing place and a must-visit point while in Poznan. The combination of the latest technology and history. We had a great time. I would highly recommend.

Great place to visit to get a real sense of Polish history. Really modern building located close to Cathedral Island. Great way to understand the land you're in.

BEWARE people with freight of heights!
Dec 2018 • Couples
All in all worth a visit if you want to get your head around the early Polish historyl
Just a word of warning. To get from one exhibition room to the other one has to cross the glazed bridge, looking at the ground floor some 15 metres below. My wife who had at the time had a very strong fright of heights when stepped on the bridge kist frozen and refused to go beyond. She have seen just half of the exhibition and walked all the way down, as she was unable to progress. The staff looked at us as we were some aliens when we tried to go out through the entrance area, but nobody asked what had happened. It's a shame that you aren't made aware that there is such a thing as glazed bridge BEFORE you get the tickets!
But generally the place is worth a visit.
Its a multidisciplinary modern museum that would be suitable for all ages. Well worth a visit if you're taking a stroll around the Poznan cathedral.

Nicely done, worth a visit

Not really a museum (no artifacts), it’s a heritage center. It’s very interactive and gives a nice history of Poland and the Poznań Cathedral Island. An audio guide is included, make sure you use it. Don’t miss the steps to the observation deck at the end of the exhibits. You can also pick up an audio guide to use when touring the rest of the grounds and the cathedral.

Just Okay

I wasn't wowed by this museum, although I wanted to be. They tried very hard to make it an interactive history lesson, but at times I felt like it was just a documentary chopped into pieces so that you heard different segments of the documentary at different screens or boards. I'm sure it didn't help that there were several school groups and teachers who talked loud enough that I had to strain to hear the audio of my headset, but that didn't ruin it for me. I think I just didn't find the presentation itself all that absorbing or interesting.

The exterior is the best part

The architecture and location are very interesting, but aside from a brief discussion of the early history of Cathedral Island, the interpretation felt extremely limited to the Catholic experience. At least it isn't too expensive. I thought the small exhibit on the entrance end of the bridge was more interesting. Possibly it was an exhibition of student work (there wasn't any English signage there).

A little disappointing
May 2019 • Couples
Hearing such a great reviews and opinions before, I really had great expectations. As long as the visit here was good, nothing made me particulary impressed about. The place is a little chaotic, however, you can learn quite a lot about Polish history. The location is great, so it is definitely worth to take some walk in the area nearby.

A modern museum
Apr 2019 • Friends
This is a modern museum. Particularly with its interactive design and private children rooms, it's very convenient for kids. Additionally, it's located in the cathedral island, so you can visit our places at the same time period as well. I advise you to buy audio kits.
