Decided to try a return trip and bought what I thought was a return ticket. Quite a long ride to the far end in some woods where most people got off. When the train strted its return trip we were told we had only bought a one way trip. It did not cost a lot and we soon paid the return fare to the ticket collector with some assitance for other passengers who spoke some English

We wouldn't suggest to anyone to make the ride unless there are children, who maybe can enjoy. You don't see practically anything, very little from the Lake Malta and the noise is terrible!

We took this ride hoping to get a decent view of the lake. No such luck. The track ran a long way from the lake and through a little jungle where there wasn't much to see. And the ride was uncomfortably noisy - the wheels make nerve jarring metallic squealing and screeching noises as if to plead, "Please, I don't want to do this anymore!"

Connecting the lake and the zoo the miniature railway is cheap way of getting there. The root is fine but I do feel they miss the opportunity to make most of the sights on the way. 20 minute trip for around a quid so is a way to get off your feet for a while if nothing else.

It must be 40years since my Dad took me on a Steam Train. This is a great attraction. The Train does a lap of Lake Malta and is also a great way to get to the zoo. I had a lovely peaceful ride through the Park and adjoining Lake on this miniature replica Steam Train nothing is left out of the detail from Station Masters to billowing steam. If you have the time? take the train.

You can take this train to get the Zoo in Poznan, however if you want to go back you need a new ticket. It was fun.

The small train, maintained by a group of enthusiasts, carries tourists along the shores of the Malta lake to the New Zoo. You can choose between two steam locomotives and one antique diesel. For railway enthusiasts - it's just a must-go.

The train was packed with happy smiley children, a no brainer for parents with young ones then when the weather is good.

It's a unique attraction for rail buffs and amazing way to vie Malta Lake. Lovely way to travel to new Zoo. You can catch it from Rondo Srodka and ride it to New Zoo.

The Maltanka Miniature Railway is seasonal and wasn’t open when we visited in September. Malta Lake is stunning and there is so much to see and do near the lake. There is also a very impressive fountain in the lake.
