I was pleasantly surprised what a beautiful lake and area this is. I walked here from the city centre and then walked all the way around the lake and back again to the city centre. The lake had a boating regatta going on at the time I was walking around which was entertaining. I will definitely be going back next time I'm in Poznan.

Unfortunately the day wasn't the best in terms of weather conditions.
We went around the lake on a pedestrian path, from the beginning to the end, but we did not continue to the other side due to lack of time. Peaceful and relaxing walk. Of course, if there had been good weather it would have been a completely different matter, for example we would have made use of the benches and been able to sunbathe in peace.

Lovely place to visit, we took the little train up to the zoo and walked around the lake to the ski slope. The train was good fun and very enjoyable. Lots of places to sit and enjoy the views and the mini golf was great fun. Highly recommend this place to pass away a good few hours.

Walked to lake Malta from the centre of town - quite a trek but worth it. It seems there are water sports activities most weekends and there was canoe and paddle board racing. There is also a water park and small steam train giving rides. Good for a day out

Lovely Sprint Canoe Kayak facility - great jumbotron. Lots of seating space. Food/ beer options were good. Hotels within walking distance. Only negative was the cost to use the toilet - 2 Polish Zloty for the attendant. Great venue for this international competition.

I took a train ride around Lake Malta and I was impressed with its huge set up, this lake caters for a variety of water sports and has a lovely huge water feature that spays water high up into the air.

World championship rowing, an indoor and outdoor water park nearby, a dry ski slope on the other side with a tobaggon and mini golf. Fabulous. US cities cannot match this

Just east of the old town is another artificial lake called Malta (circumference > 5km). The surroundings are "developed", which means many entertainment businesses have been established right on the lake shore. A disco with very loud sound in the evening, a huge shopping center Galeria Malta which looks like a big shoebox, a traincircuit for children, canoe rental, restaurants, ice cream stalls etc. line the lake. The most quiet part is further towards the east where there is an old fort and the new zoo. If you are looking for wild nature, your search will be in vain. Lake Rusalka towards the northwest is a better alternative, but of course the road around Lake Malta is okay if you need some exercise. Many locals use it for jogging or cycling
