This is yet another branch of local museum, called Muzeum Okręgowe - Wyspa Młyńska (Mill Island) is full of them. This one concentrates on modern art - not being the biggest fan of modern art I was keen to pass by this one, but then - why not give it a shot, who knowes when we'll get a chance to go back to Bydgoszcz. Large building, which I was more interested in, than the display itself, as it is one of former granaries, called Red Granary. Must have undergone a refurbishement quite recently, as looks new and sparkling, with flashy new glassed bit. Exhibition itself not the biggest I saw, but it takes some time to get around it, Some nice instalaltions. It was pretty much empty on that saturday midday time, so we had that al for ourselfs. Worth popping in.

The gallery has a very interesting and unique modern art collection from polish artists. I was happily surprised with the art works. Most of these are from the early and mid XX century. You can get a glance of the artistic movements in Poland. Post impressionism, expressionism, abstractionism, and some cubism as well. The staff was really friendly.
