Beautifully painted and ornamental. The houses are in line with the town hall. They are a beautiful background for a photo from Zamość. Under the houses in the basement there is also a restaurant that is never empty.

The Armenian houses are the most beautiful ones in Zamosc old market square, they immediately raise attentions with their lively colors and peculiar façade ornaments.

These building facades just set the tone for the main town square. They are very colorful and fully decorated in Renaissance style. altogether with the square itself and the soaring town hall make Zamosc a tourist hot spot,

Quite a small museum but enjoyable. There is a huge model of the old town of Zamosc that almost covers a whole room. When we went for a walk afterwards we were impressed by how much of the old town has been restored. Back to the museum, it has the usual paintings and artifacts. More unusual are the mammoth bones! The kids enjoyed most of it. A lot of the exhibits are also in English but not all. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.

Just beautiful. They express the beauty and show the richness of the Armenian merchants who settled down in Zamość more than 400 years ago. There is a Museum in the red house, a must see in Zamość.

This colourful buildings reminds old, good times of Zamośc, when it was a big, important town in this part of Poland and Europe, on the crossroads between East and West. Now quite calm, but still good-looking. Museum inside.

Don't let "tenement" fool you. These were the residences of well to do merchants, suitably decorated and appointed.

The Armenian Tenement Houses are the most beautiful of all of the beautiful buildings in the Old Town in Zamosc. These buildings now house a very nice museum with the history of the town of Zamosc. This place is definitely a must if you are interested in history and most importantly the history of Zamosc.

This is free entry on a Tuesday, and it's worth popping your head in. Lots of displays inside (the museum runs across three of the townhouses, so there's more inside than you might think).

Most of the displays are labelled bilingually in Polish and English, although not all, so you will get a decent idea of what you are seeing.

Unless you've more than a passing interest in the history of the townhouses, and the area's prehistory, an hour ought to be sufficient.
