A renewed commemoration of a situation, quite interesting in political and political terms in Europe and the world, where two countries form an equal union creating an interesting and complicated state. I only know only maybe the Union in Kalmar ... and I am not sure if this Union can be compared with the union of Poland and Lithuania.

Monument alone isn't anything special. It is located in Litewski Park, which is very nice place with a fountain. Worth to have a look when going to the beautiful Old Town. History of Lublin's Union is really impressive and interesting.

Monument dedicated to Polish and Lithuanian Union. The Lublin Parliament session of 1569 led to the creation of a real union between the Crown of the Kingdom of Poland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, which creating the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth.

Being Lithuanian I know a lot about Lublin Treaty which united Poland and Lithuania, and it always was a hot topic for both countries. However, I was positively surprised how it is described at the Lublin Uninion Monument. It says that it wasthe first democratic union in Europe which gave the begging for united Europe in later ages,

Beautiful monument worked in cast iron and gold, commemorating the union of Poland and Lithuania in 1569. Lovely bas relief.

Can only see from a distance as the square is being relaid and therefore has fencing all around. Be nice when it's finished I'm sure.

Square was built to commemorate Polish and Lithuanian union. Lots of events are held at the square, its a nice place to have your ice cream after long days shopping.

The monument looks nice with the gold on black. But it is mostly the historical significance of what it stands for that makes it worth the visit.
