The Old Town improved and the city is beautiful, clean, European, lots of places to eat. Great atmosphere in the market square and surrounding streets. Strolling around Lublin’s old town is a wonderful experience any time of day with lots of restaurants, ice cream shops, bars, and shops to visit. There are also many small hotels on or very near to the old town walking street. At the end is a wonderful, lighted “dancing “ fountain. Not to be missed at night.

. A Polish city with great traditions and a fairly well-preserved old center and Old Town. Frankly speaking, there are many such cities in Europe. I can even say that they are objectively prettier. Lublin, however, has a unique style and a certain kind of energy that surprised me. After years of terrible downfall, he starts to get up from his knees. on the other hand, it has a very well-preserved old town and can attract people who like to travel to peculiar places where not everything is perfect but you can see the life of young people and cultural life.

Lovely place, and where we stayed everything is close.
Nice little restaurants and bars. and shops. Make sure you look up at the windows as there are pictures in the windows. Great views also at the church ruins area.

I stayed in the Lublin Old Town in an apartment for 1 month. But the beauty and vibe does not get old! You can wander, eat ice cream, watch people, listen to street music, enjoy a beer, delicious food. But there is also incredible history to learn about. I have traveled to 40 countries and Lublin is a standout, in large part due to the Old Town.

Excellent old town and the best place to walk around in the different streets and wonder around, stop have a cafe or lunch and chill. As opposed to other cities there is not a big rynek with a square in the middle but this offers just as much as any other.
As you would expect, there are plenty of dining options as you walk around.

Nice old town. A lot to see, buildings on the Square After the entrance to th old town. It is a pity that there are so many restaurants with seating outside. But they also need to have income especially during COVID -19. The ‘Boulevard’ nice to stroll at night for an icescream or beer.

Lublin's magnificent Old Town, restored a few years ago, delights with its charm and history, one of my favorite cities in Poland, which I like to visit both in summer and in winter.

Hi, Carol. What would you like to know about this attraction? How much time should we allocate to spend in Lublin
Written May 29, 2018
I agree that 2-3 days is probably about right. We visited in January when it was -6° but that didn't spoil the enjoyment.

I'm coming to Lublin in about two weeks for 3 nights stay . Landing at 01:00, how am I supposed to get to the hotel at this hour? Can I order a shuttle in advance? Where should I go for a walk in the city and outside the city? I will be happy to receive recommendations.
Thanks

If you're staying at a reasonable hotel in Lublin you can contact them in advance and ask them for help with a taxi or shuttle to the hotel from the airport.
As for traveling in Lublin: Not sure you need to spend all of your time in town . here's a suggestion:
When in Lublin: Visit the castle, the local art museum and the cathedral (with its special murals) in the same compound - this should take anywhere from 1/2 a day to a full day depending on your pace an level of interest.
A guided tour of the old town is recommended. The tourist info center will help you book one. There's more to this town than meets the eye. This should take a bout 1/2 a day.
Another half day at Maidanek - the Nazi camp where Jews and other people "of lesser being" were systemically tortured, worked to death and if they did not die of hard work and the horrible conditions and put to death. Take the guided tour. It's depressing but a must see for any human being on earth.
A little time for shopping, restaurants, and walking about the old town.
If you discover you have a full day left - Krakow is 2.5-3 hours drive away. If you can do it (rent a car or take a shuttle from the hotel) it is well worth your time: Krakow is a colorful beautiful city and not too far from Lublin.
Not enough time? you are only 30 minute (or a bit more) drive from Kzimierz Dolny - a historical town with a colorful old town square, two old citadels and views galore. Great for half a day out of Lublin.
Hope that helps

It's definitely a good place to visit. Great food and great hotels. Plenty to see in Lublin and a lot of places around Lublin. You shouldn't be disappointed with your visit.
