Crazy experience. It is the most beautiful monument in the city to visit (which in itself is beautiful and very clean).
The frescoes painted in the Leopoldina room must be seen live in their spectacular nature.
Going up the luxurious stairs you reach the mathematical tower where you can have a beautiful view of the city.

You will be able to see the old ballroom and the auditorium dating back to 1733, both beautifully restored after the war damages. On top of the whole is the tower, from which you have a nice view over Wroclaw.
Just dont ask any questions, the information guy didn't speak english and the one at the cash register who did was visibly annoyed by having to do so.

Well worth a visit. The doorcase gives a hint of the splendour within. You can buy tickets for two, three or four galleries and, to be frank, three of them you could probably skip. Unless old photographic equipment, records of 1950's Greenland expeditions, and funny, wriggly things pickled in jars, float your boat. Though one shouldn't overlook the incredible haul of Nobel prizes. But the jewel in the crown is the Aula Leopoldina and a bloody splendiferous jewel it is. Absolutely jaw-dropping and wonderfully excessive even by the normal standards of the Baroque. When you're absolutely saturated in gilt, you can come up for air on the roof and enjoy the breath-taking views of Wroclaw. Absolutely not to be missed!

We visited this building by accident as it wasn't on any planned site to see we had and it was only someone casually mentioning it in conversation that we called in. The building is about a 100yards from the square and isn't particularly spectacular from the outside, except the wonderful blue and gold entrance doors. However step inside and the frescos are spectacular, its not huge, just breath taking. You will need about 45 minutes if pressed for time and it's only about £2-00, but you will be so pleased you didn't miss it. Try out the acoustics in the concert room and simply marvel at the sculptors and colours. It ought to be on every travellers list, really, it's that good, go find it.

I wanted to visit the University to see the Music Hall and the Aula Leopoldinum. The Music Room was extremely impressive and didn’t disappoint. The Aula was unfortunately undergoing renovation but it was still possible to view it from the gallery. In fact that was interesting in itself as we could see the artists restoring the frescos. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the exhibitions too. It was interesting to read about the Nobel Prize winners (helped by the internet as the information was a little limited) and some of the old professors whose names I recognised. The views from the Mathematical Tower were lovely and the exhibition bition of sundials was also interesting. I left the visit feeling I’d learned something (!) but also having seen some beautiful artwork.

Reasonably priced and what a gem, audio guide and the ticket desk young lady and the lady who set up our audio guide were so helpful. The ceilings in the celebration hall were magnificent, we enjoyed learning about it's history. It's also worth going up to the roof top to see the views,

The ceiling in the chapel is part way through restoration and it amazing to see the contrast between the old and renewed. Just a beautiful building and the scientific instruments were amazing. One hall was closed when we visited, which was a shame, despite this it is well worth the visit

They charge you to see four areas of the university and all were disappointing. The chapel is under construction and you can only really see the ceiling. Rather than climb all the stairs to get a city view, go to the cathedral and take the elevator. Rather than pay to see the chapel, visit the adjacent church for free.

Bought a ticket for one of the halls and the roof for the view, I was amazed at what was behind the door to the hall on the first floor, it was stunning well worth the visit alone, Then the views from the top are also stunning. Don't miss the scholar drawf outside, he's so cute.
