The Centennial Hall is a symbol. It lasts, despite historical changes, being a bridge between generations, systems, nations. Although, we prefer to say – between people. This timeless building with the green areas surrounding it constitute a unique meeting point where everyone can find something for themselves. We treat all our guests’ needs with the same gravity. We believe that this kind of equality is what Max Berg, the architect of the building, had in mind when defining it as the Cathedral of Democracy.

A good place for a walk and spending free time outdoors. Fountains are an additional attraction. The shows displayed on the water are spectacular. I recommend a walk under the pergola, where you can breathe even on a hot day. Various events are organized at Centennial Hall.

Seriously impressive building made totally out of pre cast concrete. Unfortunately we visited in February when the fountains were switched off as they are seasonal. Buth this is a very impressive edifice and worth a visit

As a UNESCO Heritage site, we felt the need to visit. Amazing structure and grounds - with good facilities to eat/drink and just wander the grounds or watch the fountain show. We walked along the river from the Library/Market Hall to Centennial Hall in around 60 minutes.

For people interested in architecture the Centennial Hall is worth a visit. Its easily reached by tram 2, 4 or 10 from the centre of Wroclaw. There is an exhibition (entrance fee applies) about the structure and the history of the hall and the opportunity to stand in the hall and see the large dome to appreciate the size. Outside there is a very shallow pool full of water fountains and a Japanese garden nearby which are worth visiting.

This was a lovely place to visit to see all the architecture and the magical fountain and Japanese Garden. It does cost a few Zlotys to get in.

Stunning architecture is something that everyone expects, but this place is more like a garden. The fountain gives slight noise, you can sit or lay down on the grass and relax. Some people even get a nap on a blanket in the tree shadow. Also good for kids, but entering the fountain is not a good idea.

If you have seen enough Habsburg and Prussian gothic and classicist style buildings representing in a way old Europe, visit this modern frank hall surrounded by spacious parks, pond with pergola and even a Japanese garden.
The building has a ring structure with at each level a smaller circle towards the cupola top. No superfluous ornamentation is added which makes the hall in a way stronger and focused. Architect Max Berg went back to the basics while using modern reinforced concrete. In 1913 the hall was completed, certainly it shows Breslau was ahead of its time.

Visited this place one evening, walked around the grounds. Well kept and lovely area. We waited for the fountain show at 10pm. This is a show where the water dances with lights to the music. There are different themes for different evenings. I loved this show. It lasted about 15 minutes and is well worth going to see.
It is easily accessed by the tram from the city centre, we took the tram number 10, but any tram going in the direction of the zoo will take you there. There are food and drink stalls on the way to the fountain.
Well worth a visit when in Wroclaw.

I got the tram to the hall (very easy from the centre) and popped in not sure what to expect. I ended up discovering a great museum area which described the hall and the architecture and the building of it. I also discovered really great and helpful staff and of course, the main hall. It was massive and as I'd went late in the day I ended up being the only person in it! The dome was just stunning and the engineering behind it was amazing. Definitely worth a visit!

This is an exhibition hall used for many purposes and with a history dating back many years (to include an appearance by Hitler), and an architectural gem as well. Take the brief and inexpensive walking tour; then visit the quaint, nearby Japanese Garden and the fountain and wading pool where all the locals go on sunny day. This area can be reached easily from the center of Wroclaw by tram, but allow for either the better part of a morning or afternoon to do the area justice.

how do you get to centennial hall from the Wroclaw main train station?

We stayed at Scandic Hotel. At corner of it left tram 2 directly to the Hala Ludowa and zoo. It cost 3 zl and when you paid with credit card to the automat it was 1,50€. The building wasn't special but the fountains were amaizing.
