This ostrow is unique in Wroclaw. It's quiet, peaceful, perfect for an evening walk. I call it the "cultural island" of Wrocław due to the classic architecture of the Cathedral and surrounding buildings.

The "red" bridge followed by the "blue" bridge (or "love bridge") that bring you to the island from the center of Wroclaw are already beautiful and attractive pieces of art. Then walking along the paved street you will see rising in from of your eyes the magnificent Cathedral ! After visiting its beautiful interior, do not hesitate to climb up... More

Wroklaw Cathedral Island is worth the trip. It is on the Oder river, seperated from the city. It is covered with baroque palaces and gothic churches, very well preserved or rebuilt. Very quiet too

We visited for a couple of hours. We ate our sandwiches in the park by the river and had the obligatory ice-cream. Some lovely shops and churches to visit.

We really found our visit to Cathedral Island very moving. The buildings are great, beautiful - and are in use (which is very positive).

We walked here from the central square. Cathedral island has lots of historic churches, etc. Very interesting.

So quite, so historical...it is just like a pearl. The island is owned by the cherch. There is pope hotel. The only one in poland. They do not serve alcohol. Maybe there is a dwarf waiting for you?

This place has awesome atmosphere, so calm and full of magic, especially when visited at evening. Narrow cobbled streets, many stunning cathedrals made of bricks, nice botanical garden. When the sun goes down, you can meet a man in costume who’s switching on gas lamps. As a bonus, you scarcely meet anybody, what makes it a great place for a... More

The island has a lovely setting in the Oder river with lots of impressive churches, not least the Cathedral. The iron bridges in bright colours are charming.

Great walk across this lovely little bridge. We bought a padlock ftom the street seller by the bridge and attached a family padlock alongside all the others. Very sweet idea.
