Nice stained glass windows

This is an impressive cathedral, both externally and internally. We were particularly impressed with the stained glass windows.

See the old photo outside to see how this building was so badly damaged during the war. The inside is impressive. You can see this building against the skyline.

We attended Mass on Sunday and I found the interior quite striking. The large stained glass windows behind the altar and the alcove chapels together make up for an impression as one may expect from a cathedral, even if it is not a large one. Candles can be lighted for loved ones, however all were sold out when we visited.

Interesting cathedral, great view to a city from the 60m high tower. Great collection of African masks inside.

Paying for the tickets to the chapels on the back seemed unnecessary at first thought, but after visiting them I must say it was a highlight of my visit to Wroclaw.

Lovely cathedral nestled amongst a very architecturally attractive area. Well worth a visit even if you're not religious to appreciate its intricate interior and exterior. Beautiful features from every angle, well, except the few bits by the main entrance that had the scaffolding on it. You can enter for free as long as you promise God you will be quiet... More
