Of the moat exist and provide a decent quiet area and on a nice sunny day to promenade. There were plenty of fish evident in some stretches. It's not continuous as the moat is dissected by many roads.

Wroclaw has retained a significant section of the city's defences. The area has now been protected by parkland, shrubs and mature trees. It offers lovely views over the water to the remaining bastions and of course it's many bridges.

Not really many real moats survived the times of modernisation of cities in Europe. Probably overlooked but truly a monument of the past and great indication of the size of the old town section of Wrocław. You can have a nice stroll along it, it...More

Take a walk around the former boundaries of the old town. On the north side, you'll find the beatiful riverside with all it's island mentioned elsewhere - but the south side is very nice overlooked spot. It's shaped as a park along the moat, where...More
