My girlfriend and I had planned only 2 days in Wroclaw. The night we got into town we contacted What's Up Wroclaw to schedule a bike tour. The next morning we were met at our hotel by Mateusz. Wroclaw is not a very big city, but big enough that you will not be able to see everything on foot. Mateusz put together a bike tour for us that took us all over the city, but did not include the typical tourist site which we could see on our own. We were able to see things and learn about Wroclaw during our 3 hour tour that we felt we got to know Wroclaw well in such a short period of time thanks to Mateusz.

This was the best tour that I have ever had. I recomend What's up Wroclaw 100%. Mateusz gave us a very detailed history of the city . His english is excellent and knows very well the history of Wroclow. Without Mateus we wouldn't be able to see all the places and most important the information he gave us during the tour. He also gave us other places to visit near the city of Wroclow. Thanks Mateusz

In all my travels, of all the dozens (hundreds?) of tours I've taken and tour guides I've had, two or three stand out. Without a doubt, Mateusz of What's Up Wroclaw is one of those standouts.

I had a three-hour private walking tour of Wroclaw with Mateusz, and I would have happily spend the entire day seeing the city and learning about its people and its history from him.

This was not just a stroll around the city with a guide who points out the interesting buildings and landmarks and tells about them. This was a deep dive into the story of Wroclaw and of Poland. Mateusz shared personal stories with passion. He could sense from my questions what I was interested in, and he tailored his narration to my interests, even checking to make sure I understood the points he was making.

Wroclaw is a beautiful city. Go there! And when you do, book a tour with Mateusz!

This is the best guide ever!
We were a group of 20 norwegians - age between 25 to 70, and everyone just loved Mateusz. Informative and fun, easy to understand - and Mari-Anne in our group claimed she learned more about Poland in these hours than she had ever done in School.
A wonderful cruise down the Odra river tasting local cheese, beers and a fantastic barbeque onboard, just topped the whole day.
I am sorry there isn't more than 5 stars to give out - this is a sure bet!

We hope he keeps on travelling so we can use him as a guide in other cities as well!

The bike tour with Mateusz was excellent, engaging, and educational. It is abundantly clear that Mateusz loves sharing this city with visitors and that he is passionate about sharing its history. I learned and saw much more than I expected. It is also nice that the groups stay small. This is a great way to spend part of your day in Wrocław.

We booked a bike tour for the two of us from Mateusz via e-mail. His responses were quick and we could book a tour even though it was on short notice (next day).
Mateusz' tour was very interesting and a good work-out. What I really loved about his way of showing you the city, is that he adjusts the tour to your interests. As we are especially interested in history and architecture, he would focus on those subjects. Also, he wanted to show us some place we had already seen. When we told him so, he changed the route and showed us other things.
Mateusz is an awesome guide and Wroclaw is a great city to explore by bike. We had great fun!

Very helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend this tour for anyone wanting to visit Auschwitz from Wroclaw. Made the travel there and back simple for those not familiar with the area at a very reasonable price.

My wife and I spent four fantastic hours with Mateusz. He gave us his personal story of Wroclaw and Poland. We heard stories about his upbringing, how the city has changed and visited the most interesting places like the Jewish quarters, the indoor market, best sausage place in town, best vodka place, churches,.........
Mateusz enthusiastic story telling was both educational and fun to listen to.
Don't miss out on this one.

We fell in love with Wroclaw as we explored the gorgeous sights and learned the fascinating history of this city. Mateusz is a fantastic story teller, and he is especially knowledgeable about the history of Poland and this region. Biking is the best way to go, because we were able to wander beyond just the main sights of the market square area. Plenty of time to stop and take photos and we enjoyed a cafe break in a beautiful courtyard as Mateusz gave us a history lesson of Poland. Recommend this tour for everyone. The city is flat so the ride is not strenuous.
