    WOW
One of the best zoo's I have been to, set on a huge site you could probably spend all day here, we only had five hours but it was well spent. Very cheap compared to UK, the site had signposts everywhere and maps scattered around so you could not get lost. Many cafe's here so you can stop for a rest whenever needed, again modestly priced. The highlights were the aquarium which was huge and the Afrykarium, the reptile house was also very impressive. This is only a short trip from the city and was the highlight of our trip.

Even on a rainy February day, great place to visit and lots to see.
So decided to visit the Zoo. It was raining, not too cold. Took the number 2 tram up to the Zoo for a £1. Guide was to spend 5 hours or so there. Even though some of the animals didn’t like the rain, plenty to see. Parts of the Zoo were being rebuilt or closed off. The centre piece is the Africaquarium. Wow, Hippopotamuses and Manatees. Plus big aquariums full of fish. We ran out of time to see everything. Good value of money and you can donate more to help with their conservation projects.

    Excellent Zoo
Myself and two early teen kids came here on a cloudy February day… we had looked forward to our visit but the first hour was a little disappointing. We never bought a Zoo map and the route we took mainly had winter repairs, closures and refurbishing going on . We had a drink and a toilet stop and started again. We saw lions , tigers, bears and Rhinos. Really enjoyed watching these and the enclosures were decent. Then we headed to the Afrykarium , which was huge. We all went on the VR chairs and chose the Gorilla option. Very good. We saw the hippos and the aquarium was amazing. Sharks , Manatees , really good and we could have had another hour or two here. Highly recommended…

Worth a trip out to the zoo
I am not a great fan of zoos but my son wanted to go while we were in Wrocław. We walked from the town main square and it took around 40 mins (we went via the Hydropolis water museum). The zoo is huge with loads of attractions - the best being the Africarium - we got lost around the site many times.great variety of animals. The signage is mainly, and understandably, in Polish with a few bits in English. Some of the buildings are quite dated but there seems to be lots of work going on to modernise. Plenty of cafes and restaurants although many were closed in April. The restaurant we went to was very reasonably priced, as was the ticket entry price. We were there maybe four hours.

A day at the zoo and africarium
What a lovely place to visit, we took.the tram from the Rynek, stopped outside the zoo, card payments only on entrance via machines, but easy to operate and in english..we paid 120 zloty for two over 65s tickets. Once in the zoo its very well signposted. We enjoyed the long walk around to different enclosures...the enclosures were spacious, well maintained, and certainly plenty of animals to see..The africarium was absolutely brilliant, very well done and so many species to see. There were plenty of cafes and machines to buy refreshments around the park...i would well recommend a visit, allow a good few hours as so.much to see...

    Beautiful Hidden Gem in Krakow
Very good comprehensive zoo. We were surprised how nice it was and the variety of animals. Later we heard that is is a world class zoo. its very flat and easy to walk around. Worth a visit if you are in Wroclaw and have extra time. It isn't very close to the main part of town but worth a cab ride overy.

I was pretty apprehensive about visiting the zoo as I'm not that ok with wild animals in captivity. After doing some research I found out that they have an in-house breeding programme which means young aren't ripped away from their mothers in the wild and they wouldn't survive in the wild given the chance. So against my better judgement I went for a visit. The majority of the animals to my surprise were really well cared for, that was until I got to the brown bears. They were clearly distressed pacing back and forth wanting into their beds, I'm not sure if staff were cleaning the area out but the bears were locked out of their cozzie warm beds when in fact it is still winter and they should be hibernating like my dad! My main piece of advice is eat before u go. I paid £10 for cold chicken nuggets and stale chips. All in all I had a good day and the entrance fee of roughly £10 is worth it, but I am still concerned about the bears.

I was in the Wroclaw ZOO 3 times. During the summer is really nice when you can see almost all of the animals however, winter time is not really good for visiting the ZOO. I expected something more from Afrykarium - small building, not that much to visit inside. I wasn’t very happy that I couldn’t buy separate ticket to Afrykarium. It was available last time when I visited the ZOO. At least I had enough luck to see my favourite red panda and fennec.

We visited the zoo during the weekend. It was extremely busy and the social distansing was non existent. Nobody was wearing masks in the aquarium which was inside, nobody was telling people to do so. There was hardly any hand sanitizer around. In aquararium people were extremely crumped together to the point were you could unfortunately smell other people's sweat. Perfect environment for coronavirus...
We were given no maps when we purchased the tickets (online) we would have appreciated being emailed one. The signs were misleading and it was very hard to find your way around, very frustrating. There were a lot of animals to see, we especially enjoyed watching the baby monkeys.

Nice place to visit but improvement is required to make sure people feel safe there during the pandemic and to help people navigate around.

The ZOO exists since July 10, 1865. It is a pity that not all the runs were open to visitors, but there were plenty of unique animals to watch. I highly recommend visiting Africarium. Beautifully made spectacular aquariums with unusual fish, rays, seals and a large turtle Stefan are undoubtedly a huge attraction. You must see it when you are in Wroclaw.

This is a real gem! There are many different animals and recently open Africarium makes it even better! You can easily spent all day roaming between animals and there is plenty of food places to refuel. We recommend to visit in low season as this place can become crowded.

Both indoor and outdoor areas make this zoo a good choice to visit. We spent around 4 hours there and enjoyed tortoise feeding time and saw penguins playing in the pool. There are underground viewing areas to see fish and seals. Hippos really stink.

Wroclaw zoo is a surprising visit in the middle of the city, We went into the zoo with high hopes and were greeted by Giraffes straight away. Behind them was an aircraft hanger building where the aquarium is housed with other animals from Hippos to Crocodiles. The aquarium has so many amazing animals including a beautiful sea turtle.

Walking around the 33 hectare site is tiring so make sure you wear comfortable shoes. There are many houses in and around the zoo which have several different exhibits including a Madagascar house, Reptile mansion, bird mansion. So many species to see, I would recommend over 4 hours here for sure to make sure you get the FULL experience. The condition of the animals is absolutely amazing as well, none of them, looked scraggy or damaged like you sometimes see in other zoos, absolutely impeccable.

Zoo location is very comfortable - from city centre by tram 15 minutes (8-9 stops) and also near there are parking lots for cars. Zoo is very big and you can meet there various animals. Possible to have seat to have rest and to eat some food.
Especially I like that zoo did maximum to provide animals comfortable area even sometimes you can miss opportunity to see them.
It will take quite long to see the park (minimum 5 hours) in case you want to meet most of them.

We love this place especially the new(ish) Afrykarium. Somewhere to spend a day watching the animals and being amazed walking through the Afrykarium. The food is reasonably priced and there are plenty of outlets dotted around. We would advise getting a ticket online before going and entering over the bridge opposite the Park as its quieter and the main entrance gets really busy.
