The cableway is quite short and it takes you from the low part of the mountain up, close to Sniezka Mountain. So if you have enough power to go up on foot, just go, not to waste time to stay in the que to the cableway

For a start, this isn't everybody's ideal way to start your walk up to sniezka, the queues can get very busy with people worrying about how there gonna get onto the chair lifts.
Tickets cost 29 zloty per person, this entitles you to go up and down to the start of kopa mountain, you must remember to keep your entrance ticket, you'll need to scan the barcode on it to get through the ticket barrier at the top and bottom of the lift.
This chair lift is single use only, the seat come swinging around and with your back towards it,it then swoops you up onto your seat,it seems to only have one speed and the team controlling it don't tend to slow or stop it for you to get on,I found it quite exciting but I don't think it's for everyone.
If you have a back-pack on,I would recommend you put it on backwards,so it's on your front,if you keep it on your back, you may find the room you have on your seat is not as comfy or spacious if it was kept on your front.
For safety, once on your chair, there is a safety bar that pulls down to stop you falling out,if you don't like heights then this is differently not for you,you do go up at least 10 metres, tree top level but on a plus side you do get to see panoramic views of kopa mountain,it's also fun when you go over each connecting pylon,it makes your seat swing,I will also point out that from time to time the lift stops, leaving you swinging in the air, mind you, that was my favourite bit of the ride.
When you reach the end of the ride, you again have to ready yourself to jump off your seat, again,it's fun once you've done it,I will say I did see all ages doing it,even people holding onto young babies/children and even dogs.
I must say,it really did make my walk up to sniezka great fun,I would recommend it!!!

Was a bit scared after these reviews, but there was a new cablecar with four seats. Great views, fast! 25 zloty from the top down.

Ideally placed for lazy or infirm tourists who want to visit Sniezka mountain. This cable car almost silently carries you through the forested slopes in your own seat. It takes you to the plateau beneath the peak so you can either use it to take the sting out of a climb from the bottom, use it to descend after doing the climb or use it to go up and down if you just want to see the fantastic views and visit the restaurant/cafe on the plateau for some local food and drink. Well worth the trip for the amazing views across Silesia and also Czech republic (the border runs across the top of the mountain range)

The chair lift is really handy when you do not want to climb all the way to Śnieżka, be it due to health issues or simple laziness :)
I recommend getting only one way ticket and walk back down -- less tiring and still get to enjoy the views!

Unfortunately, I used it during summer, which seems to be the peak time and had to wait one hour before I could buy a ticket and get in the chair. Bigger capacity (replacing single chairs with doubles) would help, hence I can't wait for the town to start their work on the new line with higher capacity.

The views are quite pretty, but make sure you hold your camera firmly, not to drop it.

At first sight, Kopa chairlift prime times are already gone. The best part of it that it dramatically shortens the time to reach Sniezka summit however is not cheap (one way 28 PLN, both ways 35PLN). If it is a bit renovated, definitely it would bring more revenue and attract more tourists... it is a pity to say that Czechs have a better one on their side... People that afraid of heights should definitely skip this attraction.

Exciting views and a great day out, just what we came for...
The mountain is perfectly located on the border and offers a nice and tourist friendly break at the top.

There's also some hidden points of interest for those that choose to explore.

Nice lift, but the slope is aproppriate for little advanced beginners, and for my opinion a little narrow.

The 4 person couch makes the trip to the top of the Kopa mounten great family trip. It is quick, and you can enjoy an amazing view. The way back we decided to follow red track - view is breath taking, but the path is difficult and demanding. Anyway we have managed. The trip takes longer than indicated on the track indicators.
