Too crowded and littered. Mountain shelter closed for years
Aug 2020
It is a big shame that such fantastic designed mountain shelter is closed and deteriorated over time. Apart from that this place is too crowded with people ignoring social distance and obligation to wear masks. There is very nice view on Polish and Czech landscape. From both sides (Polish and Czech) one can use a cable lift but the one on Czech side is much better.

Beautiful mountain.

A beautiful mountain. You can go on it in summer and winter [if weather conditions allow]. It is better to go outside the weekend, because there may be crowds at the weekend.

Beautiful hike
Feb 2020 • Couples
Have been here this weekend... even if the path was frozen and there was quite a wind, the hike was great..

Śnieżka
May 2019
Highest in Sudetes, highest in Czechia. Chair lift to the top on Czech side, chair lift to Kopa on Polish side, which means that last part - the steepest part of the climb is to be done on foot. Marked trails from three sides, plus one traversing on the northern side. Characteristic building of the astronomical observatory on top, plus Czech post building. But the oldest building on top of Śnieżka is a wooden St Laurence chapel. Superb views if you lucky enough to have good visibility - Śnieżka tops the surrounding area of at least 300 meters, so the view is absolutelly undisturbed. National Parks on both sides of the border with their rules and regulations. Ski areas on both sides, but in lower parts of the mountain. Best way to get there from Polish side, is to start in Karpacz at Olimpijska street, buy a ticket to the National Park, and then follow red trail, which is the longest n Polisg Sudetes. This part of the trail takes you first to hugely run down Schronisko Nad Łomniczką, then into the challenging Kocioł Łomniczki post-glaciar cirque, and then past Śląski Dom schronisko to the top of Śnieżka. Absolutely a must.

Not so demanding trail
Sep 2019 • Friends
Going up the mountain gives you two options. Either walking all the way from the base or taking the chairlift halfway, then walk about 1.5 hours or so going to the peak of the mountain. We took the chairlift and it costs 55 zloty for the roundtrip ticket. The last ride from the mountain going down is at 16:30.

The ride with chairlift wasn’t very scary, the only problem we had was that is was windy and drizzling on that day.

The paths were made of rough cobblestone walkways and there was a part where there was sandy path on the side which was easier to walk on but it only goes from the chairlift station to the restaurant on the base of the summit. The restaurant offers toilet for a fee.

There wasn’t much people when we went to the mountain so there weren’t any queues.

We weren’t luck with the weather though because the peak was very cloudy and didn’t offer much view.

It gives satisfaction to get there but nothing special.
Aug 2019 • Family
1603 meters above sea-level. You feel proud of getting to the summit but its nothing special. Two routes to choose from - easier one and more steep one.

Impressive view
Jul 2019 • Couples
After an almost 2,5 hours ascent from Karpacz by foot arrived at the top. The view is impressive, we could look almost 50 km into Czech Republic and Poland in the opposite direction. The top could see some levelling of the surface. The former main restaurant and view point is currently closed. However, there is a small shop supplying drinks, snack and souvenirs.

Highest peak of Sudety
May 2019 • Family
Highest peak of Sudety - what else to say. Must climb. There are very well-prepared trails on the ridge. Riding a bicycle, and even a wheeelchair is possible. The views are so so...still its a part of "crown of polish mountains"

Busy mountain peak with broad views
May 2019
As far as medium to small mountains go this one is a fairly easy climb. Not dissimilar to Ben Nevis, but with clearer views - weather depending. Hike up the Polish side or drive round to the Czech side and get the lift to the top - I did both. Lots of snow still as the ski season came to an end in April / May.

Nice hike
May 2019 • Family
We started at Bialy Jar and finished at Wang. Hike was very nice and not really demanding. Most of it is a paved stone road. A bit hurting for the feet but very stable and safe.

We really enjoyed the views, weather and not so many crowds at this time of the year.
