WOW.... in your face as soon as you enter this world of the master artist. Recycled ‘things’ that others viewed as trash made into creative art to challenge the ‘normal’ world. Mirrors, wall hangings, horrors?... your perception. Enough to say that this artist died of...More

The museum has a large collection of artworks from Hasior. Though I didn't heard of him, I was astonished at the moment when entering the museum. The style of art was extremely strange and yet fascinating. The ideas behind each artwork could have multiple interpretation...More

Cool Gallery of a great Polish artist. Must visit - it will take care of what is about an hour and especially when it's raining.

Very recommended to see. By entering the gallery, I was surprised by the composition of arts, mirrors and rooms as it together created very intense impression. Firstly I couldn't tell whether it is strong good or bad feeling, and after spending almost an hour inside...More

Zakopane may look like an ordinary mountain resort with all it's shops, bars, chainstores and crowded main street. Judging by the first view you wouldn't expect it used to be Polish capital of art in the interwar period. In the communist times it had bit...More

A must-see place in Zakopane and all of Poland. Amazing art gathered in an amazing building. The place's ambiance is palpable and pervasive. The custodians are very helpful and informative. The whole collections is described also in English. Go there when raining outside.

Hasior used cast away dolls - not in a hideous paedophiliac experiment - but to show how they can be encapsulated into iconic sculpture and picture. I suppose it's iconoclastic, but at the same time acknowledging the human foibles and going with his art through...More
