Loved loved loved it! Snowed all day, Zakopane was beautiful, we took the funicular up and enjoyed the stunning scenery..plenty to see and do even of you don't ski. We hired skidoos and spent an exhilarating hour speeding across vast areas of snow with wooden houses dotted here and there. The horse sleighs and drivers in traditional garb looked enticing... -15 degrees Celsius and most restaurants were closed for the season. But great views and a lot of tourist stuff.

We drove their by car. It was totally worth it. The view was amazing. If you come to Zakopane you should see this place and try some food.

Highly recommend, a must do when in zakopane! We got a £5 sledge and slid down the mountain in a group of 6. Felt like a child again!

Amazing, incredible view is offered once you reach Gubalowka's highest, 1123 m point. Return ticket on the cable car cost you 23 zł and it takes around 3 minutes to get to the highest point of Gubalowka. I would recommend you to check out the horse sleigh guys as some of them can be very pushy to use his service... More

We were lucky enough to visit on a quiet Monday afternoon with beautiful sunshine. No queues in sight! Trip up on a train is short but very nice with panoramic roofs and windows of the train and funky crooked floor. We spent around 1 hour up top enjoying a cold beer and admiring the spectacular views of Zakopane and surrounding... More

An essential visit for any stay in Zakopane! We were in Zakopane the day after a night of plentiful snow, so the whole countryside was buried deep in powder. Wow! So beautiful! Definitely plan on going early. The best time is at around 9-10am, because the sun will be steadily rising and shining brightly on the Tatra peaks. The funicular... More

We had a ride to the top of the mountain and these regular cable trains are the perfect way up. We went when there was DEEP snow and the views were superb. Various market stalls and cafe/restaurants at the top are perfect for shopping eating and drinking

Visiting Zakopane this year we didnt have much time and I was wondering what could be the essence of this beautiful town to present to someone who never been here before in one hour...surely it is its location! So we decided to ride up the "Gubałówka hill" to see the stunning view of Tatry and the town. The entrance to... More
