Beautiful street with a lot of shops and cafes. You should definately buy local cheese from mountain goat milk which is very tasty and costs just a few euros

Scenic street with lots of shops and restaurants. The smoked cheese sold at little stands was a favorite. Prices were higher than in Krakow but that is to be expected in a resort town.

I would stay as long as I can, say one month, in the mountains. If you don't see a waterfall, nothing will happen.

In general, Zakopane is crowded mid-June through late August, but not unpleasantly so. It's much more crowded during ski season.
