Very popular tourist spot, a final destination for many walks in the Dolina Strążyska valley. Accessible by an about hour walk from the northern end of Dolina Strążyska (car park, toilets, buses to Zakopane), first on red, then on yellow trail. Siklawa waterfall is about 23 high, splt in two, with the bottom part (where the trail ends) being the higher of 13 metere, but the upper part above the threshold can be clearly seen from the large area around the end of the trail. There used to be a trail from the foot of Siklawica waterfall to the top of Giewont, which run alongside a stream that makes the waterfall - that was shortest trail to the top of Giewont, but also the steepest, incredibly steep in fact, and because of that it was closed, no longer available for hikers. Very nice round walk to Siklawica, about 2 hours, hugely overcrowded in summer and weekends with nice weather all year round.

This is a nice waterfall and a gentle enough stroll to reach it. It is pretty busy because of that but 1 of the sites to visit if you are in this region.

It is rather easy trail and picturesque waterfall at the end, perfect choice for those into modest physical exercise.
It used to froze in winter time quite a few years ago.

Min of 1hr 30 mins walk of hill climb. And when you finally arrive one find a very small and narrow water fall. Entrance fee not expensive.

We decided to hike to the waterfall and trekked up the trail to the hut. My wife wasn’t feeling great so she stopped there. Two friends and I thought the waterfall was farther up the trail and headed up the (steep!) mountain. I was the old guy mumbling “I think I can, I think I can.” After about 45 minutes I asked a hiker how much farther the waterfall was. He smiled and noted it was way down the trail. Back down I carefully schlepped. The trail to the hut is wide and well cared for. It’s a nice 45 hike there and 45 minutes back to your car. Especially on a sunny day.

The walk starts from the outskirts of Zakopane. You should walk or drive on Strążyska street until it ends. It's about 15-25min walk from mid town. If you drive, there are many car parks there. Men with yellow vests will try to signal you to enter their parking lots. Don't make a mistake. From the first parking lots there is still some more walking to do. So skip all parkings and be greedy and try to park as close as possible. In the worst case the closest one will be full and you can make a u-turn and park a bit further from the entrance.
The entrance costs PLN 5 pp.
It's an easy mildly uphill walk in the woods along the stream. At a certain point you will reach an opening with a hut or two selling food and some outdoor benches.
This is a bit navigationally tricky. About 50m before the huts there are signs to turn right, cross a bridge and continue on a trail (I think it was yellow). Ignore that, continue straight past the huts. 50m after the huts there is a junction again. Staight or left. Continue straight. The waterfall will appear 3-5min walk later. This is a dead end. Take some photos and return the way you came. It's 40-60min up and a bit quicker to return.
If you have a baby/toddler:
Take a baby carrier! Though we saw a few strollers on the way, you cannot continue past the huts. The walk to the huts is doable with a good hiking stroller with goid wheels, but I definitely recommend against it. The parents with the strollers had a very difficult time and their babies were rocking too much IMO in them.

We originally wanted to take the cable car to the top of the mountain to do some hiking but reservations were full. We had no idea that was necessary. Therefore, we took this hike in the National Park. It was a nice hike but surprising crowded but should have figured that out when cable car reservations were FULL.

the road in is totally accessible for all. a short, easy walk. the waterfall is lovely! I would recommend continuing on after the waterfall... on the black trail... to the peak. it's a good work out but totally worth the effort! and then an easy walk back down. nice loop!
