I assume this place is great as a starting point to climb up the Giewont or Sarnia Skała. Or the reverse - to relax after a long hike before going down back to Zakopane. Nice spots for group pictures, too.

It's an ideal place to relax and escape from all the noise and bustle of life in the city. I definitely recommend those passionate about sport and unforgettable views!

The entrance to this valley is within walking distance from central Zakopane (2.4 km from Krupowki street; 100m up; follow Kasprusie road). A well maintained path, at times more like a small road, leads to the upper part of the valley and takes about 40 minutes.

Special about Strazyska is the fact it is a rather narrow valley with a wild stream running through. Not just pine trees, but deciduous trees as well provide a colorful experience. Especially this time of the year (October) when autumn sets in.

It is possible to hike out of the valley towards Sarnia Skala 1377 m. (follow a trail with black and white markings towards the east). Add another extra hour to reach the peak.

Other reviewers talked me into this one and I'm so glad they did. It was our last day in Zakopane and we were tired. We went anyway and were rewarded with a highlight.

Driving from Krakow to have a walk in the National park. Parking space is plenty with 15zł charged per day and very close to the park entrance.

Strazyska Valley Route is an easy one to us as a family of 5 with 3 children youngest at 7 years old. Took around 1hour for returned.

Signs not very clear as I got to a wrong small path after the “red sign” finished. After “red sign”, you should go past the kiosk and to the waterfall.

Nice walk overall.

While in Zakopane for a weeks family break we visited the Strazyska Valley for a walk before skiing. We were lucky that it started to snow as we set off. It was just stunning, we had the most beautiful walk, stopping to take photo's and play in the snow. The approach to the bottom on Giewont is magical, esp with the snow falling around us. We visited the small tea rooms for hot mulled wine, hot chocolates and apple pie. Most definetly a memoral experience on our trip. One day we will return !

Very cool walking trail. Has different views along the way. We used a stroller and it's not very well suited for it. Highly recommended for the views.

One of shorter valleys within national park, yet it is quite picturesque and well worth dedicating some time (trail extends toward higher parts of the mountains, so it could be a starting point for longer trip). There is a nice waterfall at the end. All in all, easy and pleasant hike for all ages.

We walked here from west of town, but there is a number 12 bus for those less inclined to walk.
At the beginning there are a couple of refreshment places, then 5.00 zl.entry fee to the trail. It is an easy walk for most and takes about an hour to reach the refreshment stop, but basic and head through a hole to place your food orders.
From here there further walks to left and right, but the one straight ahead to a waterfall was ( when we were there was dangerous) and not attempted
