We stayed in a BIKES appt. on ul. Ratuszowa overlooking the Rynek.
The Old Town is impressive for the number of beautiful churches concentrated in such a small area. Check out the Tourist Office on the south side of the Rynek for a map. We liked the Franciscan monastery the most, with its Rococo altarpiece, and the Carmelite church higher up has an unusual Byzantine dome atop a classical Renaissance building and an impressive boat-shaped pulpit. The churches also have an impressive array of bells (locally manufactured?).
We decided to walk up to the Tartar's Khan's barrow and the old Austrian fort - a steep 15 minute climb - just grassy mounds now, and there is a small bar near the ski lift with good beers, coffee etc.
For a sense of the town's history, the fortress is the most interesting, with its exhibitions and views from the tower of the River San and the town, as well as photos from fhe oldest Polish dramatic society (PLN 26 w adults, 2 kids).
Local trips to the castle at Krasyczyn and the botanical gardens.

This city does not get many visitors, because it’s off the beaten track. It’s the major town before Medyka then Ukraine.
It has two lovely churches (yes, those again). Streets laid with cobblestones.
Tip: try the open air raw produce market. Fresh picked 500g strawberries for 15zl! Lovely!

Many venues to visit within this city, walking may be difficult in some areas because of the steepness of the streets. A castle sits atop the high ground of the city and offers a splendid view of the surrounding area. Many shops and restaurants with very friendly staff. Numerous ATMs, banks, and exchanges are located throughout the city. Main park area is fantastic and surrounded by numerous beer gardens where you can refresh and watch the locals stroll through the area. Many restaurants available to enjoy local food choices. Several old churches in the area where you can go inside. Be aware of the cross-walks and do not jay-walk. City seemed to have a lot of pizza restaurants, and most were very good. Cash is most accepted means of payment. I felt very safe walking in the city. Also visit the many small bakeries for pastries fresh from the oven. Very historical and impressive city next to the river. Local train station was restored and most impressive. The local ice cream store is an fantastic with delicious choices and is always crowded. Highly recommend a tour of this city, city guide books are available and should be utilized so you don't miss anything.

One of my favourite places. Przemyśl, with it's steep market square, guarded by the bathing bear, surrouded by houses rich with history. River San down below many times in the past used as a border between different states. A "Przemyśl Gate" - term used for centuries to mark a threshold between steep hills to the south and the plain to the north, but also as a sign of something good happening when crossing the Gate. That natural gate was a reason for erecting here one of best in Europe fortresess. Some superb view points on the southern side of town, on Zniesienie hill, which was always of huge importance to towns safety, and it was always fortified long before the mentioned fortress was built. Cathedrals and churches of different faiths show that town was always open for different religions. And all of that stays till this day in town wn climate. Definitelly worth every effort to visit.

Przemysl is one of the 3 oldest towns in Poland. The town situated at the foot of the Carpathians, therefore here is very beautiful nature, excellent views and, of course clean air. You can find here several historical places like castels like Przemysl old town castle in the center. You can find Przemysl museum here, visit Park, & several cathedrals & churches.
My favorite place is Krasiczyn Castle, I visit this castle during 15 years, observe as passes restoration process in it.
Przemysl is the capital of smoking pipes. Each year, pipe lovers come to Przemyśl to take part in a colorful parade along the streets of the city, a slow pipe smoking competition and in accompanying events, whilst craftsmen come to present their products and to meet their pipe-smoking friends.
This year it will be on June 28, 2015. Welcome for the 10th anniversary Pipe holiday, you can address to me on all questions about Przemysl, hotels, restaurants. Also about history and production of the Polish pipes. Because I am the member of Przemysl Pipe club.

Being located on a hill slope the old Przemysl is a bit reminiscent of Prague with its picturesque towers and churches gently drifting down. Smaller than most of the more known cities of Poland it beats most of theme in terms of antiquity, historical atmosphere and sincerity. For some it even wins over the mighty Krakow. The market square, the cathedrals and monasteries, cobbled streets of the old town, the castle, the Tatarski Mound, even the ski slope almost in the city centre, it's your perfect city that you haven't visited yet. Very Western-European yet with fair amount of fascinating eastern exotic wind being very perceptible. Quite good train connection from Krakow. Good base to visit stunning Lviv/Lwow only 80 kilometres away. Must visit.

Different from most Polish towns as it's located on a hill, so even the rinek is slanting. On the whole the stare miasto is nice to walk around, even though there are quite a few buildings which have seen better days. The rinek is obviously the right place to be in the evening, with lots of restaurants and beer gardens which offer cheap food and excellent beer. So if you are in the area, it's worth a stop. Make sure you don't miss the fortresses surrounding the city, I saw the one in Siedliska which is covered in vegetation and gives you an idea of what life must have been like for the Austrian soldiers during the siege by the Russians
