Przemysl Old Town is the oldest part of Przemysl, a city in the southeast part of Poland near the border with Ukraine. Here you can see a lot of old buildings and walk around old town. Here you can see some beautiful churches and squares. In fact, it is not a normal Central European old town; you can see the... More

Most of the old buildings have now been restored and locals are proud of their town again. At the rynek there are no 'modern' fast food shops or bars, but trees and a traditional bakery (highly recommended) a relief after so many noisy central squares in other Polish cities. An efficient tourist office is located at the rynek as well.... More

A nice mix of old buildings, shops, kiosks, restaurants, churches and a fortress/castle a bit up the road. At the entrance to the old town by the park and the pedestrian area, you can walk through a cooling shower, very nice in the summer. We visited in late June and it was more than 30 centigrades after breakfast. Look out... More

i spent a few days here while attending a family wedding. it is a beautiful town with a market on every day and a lovely square in the centre surrounded by beer gardens, restaurants and churches. the town is steeped in history going back over 1000 years. some of the art work in the churches and especially in the train... This little museum is definitely worth of visiting. Makes you wondering how bells and pipes are made and gives he answers. For pipe lovers it's a little heaven and you may purchase some there too

Having been to many Polish cities, we found this rynek very odd. Unlike most, there is no central building and it's shape is rather unusual. It doesnt have the abundance of cafes and restaurants we've become used to, but only a few scattered about. It does, however, have beautiful gardens - which others lack.

Przemysl had a long history of many cultures - the jewish community is gone, the number of Ukrainians is small, but the old streets keep the flavor. Walk to the two cathedrals, you may want to climb to the castle or to the tower of the bell and pipe museum - only for the view.

very nice old town located on a hill makes the market square unusual, many churches and cathedrals around, all renovated, a castle a few steps away
