Excellent performance by the orchestra and choir of Mozart's requiem in D minor,kv626.
Cloakroom downstairs is free to use hand over your coat and you get giving a numbered token, hand back the token to receive your coat .
I appreciated the announcement on stage in Polish and English of switch off phones, no photos during the performance and wait till the end of the performance before applauding.
A price of 70 zolotys for a high class performance.

The main concert hall in Krakow is very near the Main Market Square and holds concerts throughout the year for a very reasonable price of 50 zloty (USD16.50). I was lucky enough to see the Krakow Philharmonic Orchestra with a featured trio of pianist, violinist and cellist who were outstanding. The concerts are at 6pm which makes dining afterwards a special night out. My suggestion would be the Padre restaurant just through the park opposite the concert hall.

On a freezing cold day with temperatures hitting the minus 10 mark my twin brother Stephen and I were wandering around Planty Park, we were in fact visiting Chopin's Piano Water Fountain and chanced upon this amazing looking theatre.
As it was early morning the Cracow Filharmonic was closed but I was suitably impressed with this superb looking structure that when I am back in Krakow next year I am most certainly going to check out the interior with the goal of taking in a performance, I took some nice photos of this magnificent building before scurrying to the warmth of a nearby cafe to enjoy a hot chocolate and warm up.
Cracow Filharmonic is easy to locate on Zwierczyniecka .
Well worth checking out.

We went to a performance of Haydn's The Creation and it was incredible. The building is gorgeous, the musicians and singers extremely talented, and it was a magical evening. Tickets were reasonably priced, we thought.

Wonderful New Year concert at attractive pricing. Smart dress code - jacket and tie - and priced to attract a wide audience of mainly locals with a few tourists. Convenient venue, 10 mins walk from main square. Must book to secure. World class conducting also.

Opening my eyes after the unforgettable masterpiece of Janusz Wawrowski i realized the light is too bright, i can hear the noise of the tram from outside and they selling cheap poor quality food in the hall. The toilet is stinky and the crew is bored.

Thoroughly enjoyed an excellent performance of the Orkiestra Filharmoni Krakowskiej called ' the spaces of music' with Wiktor Kocluban as conductor. Not only best option in town for classical music but also most inexpensive one - enjoyed by many Polish families!

You will not hear another world class orchestra for the price of concert tickets here. I was absolutely amazed at the clarity, precision, and balance achieved by this orchestra in this hall. I am a retired professional musician and orchestra conductor. I have heard many very good orchestras, but this one is special. If you are in Krakow and do not get tickets to hear this orchestra, it is truly your loss.
